I am tired of seeing his guy make all the catches.He can't cover or make picks.Last year we kept the wrong CB.We should've kept Goodman.Allen is always falling down and id never close to his WR 80% of the time.Time for changes.I am not a davis fan but he honestly can't do any worse.
 
I was going to start a thread to say the same thing. I have no idea why this guy was annointed the starting CB with no real competition. He is B-A-D bad. His guy was making catches all over the field yesterday. With the current state of the season, I think it makes sense to get Davis in there for some valuable game time experience. Davis and Smith are the future, and the future is now.
 
I want to see more of Chris Clemons. we need guys hungry. Seem like the guys collecting cheque cashed out early.. i.e. Channing "shut your clam" Chowder!

W. Allen is our best safety, but his play is indicative of how poorly reliable players are playing this year compared to last. We shouldn't have let Goodman and Hill go. There's something to be said about continuity.

I have to say as much as I like Will Allen and think he is a solid player...his play thus far this season has been VERY disappointing.

Will Allen is a CB not a Saftey...

The safteys were looking bad yesterday because Will Allen was falling down and getting burn all day.
 
Will Allen was one of our best players on D last year. He hasn't looked great this year, but I don't think it's time to bench him after one bad game.
 
W. Allen is probably the best player in our entire secondary at this point... he slipped a few times on sunday but honestly he is the only person on our secondary who has proven to be NFL starter material.... I don't think Wilson or Bell belong as starters, good backups maybe, and the rookies are obviously still unknown at this point.
 
J.allen probably has more athletic ability and talent than anyone else in the secondary, why the hell don't we see more of him in games?? Could it really be any worse with him in there?? seeing how incredibly open some of SD's receivers were on sunday I really think we need to start playing J.allen more and also give clemons a shot.. (it can't get any worse, our pass defense is probably the worst in the league right now)
 
Dont kid yourselves, Will Allen is our best CB and by some margin. Maybe that is an indication of how bad our secondary is, but you cant fix all your holes in one season. By drafting Smith and Davis, the FO are at least trying to rectify the problem.

Good CB's get beat when there is not consistant pressure on the QB. For anyone who saw the Jets game yesterday, Darelle Revis, one of the best CB's in the league had about three passes completed on him.
 
They really weren't that open. If you watch the replays, those big catches were defended well. They just made a great catch and the ball was put in the exact right location. Not overthrown.

man V.jackson was open all day long and it could have been a lot worse if rivers didn't miss him about 3 times.
 
watching the game it seemed that our secondary was in place to make plays, but didn't really get there hands up. I also saw where the offensive line was not getting thier hands up at times.
