"We will not condone this type of behavior," Cameron said. "I assure everyone it will be dealt with seriously."

This doesn't sound good at all for Evans and it makes me feel as if Cam Cameron is willing to cut him because he has always stressed the Miami Dolphins integrity and because we're pretty deep at that position.

So the question is, do you think Fred Evans gets cut?

no he wont be cut. it was his first time being arrested. He might get suspended a game or two but we wont cut a young talented dt because he was arrested once. Pacman jones, tank johnson, chris henry, mike vick etc etc were not cut and they had major felony type problems. Tank Johnson resisted arrest and caused injuries cuz hes a big dawg.

We will not cut him just so the pats can scoop him up. He will most likely be demoted to third string and might get a one game suspension realistically.

I hope he gets a good lawyer, because battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest with violence are both felonies. Hopefully, he can plea bargain down to lesser charges, get probation and put this behind him.

maybe we should have a reality nfl show with real knuckle heads

I think it's up to Evans. This is his first bad activity that we know of. Though his actions were really bad, he was not actively provoking trouble. He's a big strong guy who got way too drunk and belligerent then tried to find a quiet place to pass out. He wasn't doing illegal drugs and wasn't starting fights.

If he takes responsibilty for his extremely poor judgement, humbly apologizes to his team and community and does possitive things to demonstrate his remorse, this should eventually be no big deal. If he enrolls in alcohol/ substance program , gets involved in community programs alcohol related or just community service and most importantly makes sure nothing remotely like this ever happens again this whole thing will eventually blow over.

The only plus is that he wasn't driving. At least he knew enough about the condition he was in not to endanger other peoples lives by being behind the wheel. Now if he can work on his cab-behavior he just might be allright. He get some type of minimum probation if he cleans up his act and stays out of trouble. Drinking might be a bad idea for a LONG while.

lol we cut a guy last year for drunk driving so fred evans is toast

Yes, he will be cut. Couldn't make an example out of Porter so he will be the one. When will these players learn that there are different standards for different players?

I hope not, the guy can play but got out of control. Haven't heard anything else bad about him since he's been here.

The naivety on this forum beffudles me. If Cam Cameron is so full of virtuous integrity, why wasn't the same statement made when Joey Porter all but gang raped the OL from Cinci?

I can appreciate the fact that all you fans want a team with nothing but character, but the bottom line is "What's good for business?" Winning is good for business. If Fred Evans can help us win football games, he isn't going anywhere.

Will he be made an example out of due to the fact the we're not guaranteeing him 20 million dollars? Perhaps.

Edit:
And by the way, I like a HC who's doing what's good for business. Because even with all of your boo-hooing about guy's like Pacman, all of you would be right there celebrating next to me if 53 Pacman Jones', Chris Henry's, or Fred Evans' would lead your Miami Dolphins to a Super Bowl victory.

Go ahead, lie to me and say it ain't so.
