That's all I can think about when I hear people talk about how bad San Diego's pass defense is. Cromartie isn't the best cover corner, but damn he's quick when he sees he can make a play on the ball. And with Chad Pennington, there's a lot of time to make a break on the ball.

Let's hope I jinx it, so I predict 1 pick for Cromartie.

Pennington hasnt really made any mistakes and has been throwing the ball where it needs to be. 1 pick in 3 games is a good stat to have. and that was due to playcalling and Ginn not playing the ball

And considering that is pick was thrown on the last pass of the game to the endzone in the Jets game, he's been money. Definitely the best security we've had at that position for a while.

Let's hope not, but I predict 1 pick for Cromartie.
Bro, its obvious that you dont watch many Dolphins games. I dont know why everyone is down on Penningtons arm. I just dont get it. Heres some stats I looked up for THIS season thus far.

On passes for 30+ yards he is 9 for 13, 69.2%
passes 21-30 he is 7 for 10, 70.0%
passes 11-20 he is 18 for 30 60.0%
passes 1-10 he is 19 for 30 63.3%

so if you look at those stats it seems the farther he throws the more accurate he is. I know he doesnt have as many deep throws as he does short ones, but it proves he has the arm and accuracy to get it done. So please, quit with the "Pennington cant throw 15yds CRAP" because its not true.

I think you need to look at your stats again. Those are Pennington's pass attempts not the length of his passes.

nice job buddy!

also I think he has less longer throws is because he will not force a deep ball. He has proven that he would rather check down than try for a long completion that has little success of getting to the target.

He had an 85% completion rate last game.

He may not have the strongest arm, but I haven't seen him throw any ducks while he's been in a Dolphin's uniform so far...

Here's hoping it doesn't start on Sunday, besides don't the Chargers have one of the NFL's WORST passing D's this year?

I don't think we will throw at him much...it isn't wise for anyone to do so...

Pennington has been better than anything we had in a while
Rewatch how bad Washed up trent green looked at qb for the Rams last week and they will appreciate him more. A great 64 qb rating to showcase himself. At least the new coach has a brain cell and has annouced the idiocy of starting green over bulger is over.

Statistically. They had a bad game against the Broncos. Allowed the Jets to move the ball in 4th quarter via the pass after getting up big against them. The Raiders had some success thru the air in the first half because the Chargers was intent on stopping thei running game.

First off, I am a big Pennington fan. I think he's done a great job this year.

Second, I do watch the games. This wasn't meant to be so much a knock on Pennington as a compliment to Cromartie. That guy scares me.

And Finally, you can't sit here and tell me Pennington has a strong arm. I'm not "down" on his arm strength, but there is little question that he has one of the weaker arms in the NFL. Even though he completes his passes, it seems like those out routes take a long time to get there. I think that's a recipe for disaster when going against the best play making corner in the NFL.

reading defenses pre-snap >>>>>> arm strength

anticipating routes and throwing to a spot >>>>>>>> arm strength

maybe we should bring in Jim Druckenmiller for those who love arm strength, i'll ask him when he super-sizes my meal

Arm strength is like speed, its of no use if u cannot take advantage of it.

I disagree. I think we do attack it.

Teams have had success passing agianst them and by doing so we should be able to run more effectively. I'll bet that they are working on stopping the run more than the pass also thus making it more important to get the passing game working.

Football is not the type of game to play scared.
