Just wanted opinions on if you think Henning will stay, because I remember reading they pretty much had to beg him to come out of retirement, just wondering if he will stay another season or not? I hope he does I hate how every year it seems like we always get a new OC, not good for chemistry and consistancy.

He's already said that he would like to be with the Phins next year I believe.

Its Dan Henning.
You combined Dan Henning and Chad Henne into the oldest rookie QB ever(close second John Beck), but youngest OC.

And, Yes he said he would be back

Yeah, he has already said he is coming back next year. I don't think he stays after that though. Dorrell or Lee will be promoted to OC when that time comes.

I sent Henning brochures on places like hawaii, virgin islands and jamaica but i guess that wasnt enough to lure him into retirement. I guess at this point he figures miami is the only place that would want him so I gave up
:woot:

im all for developing our future OC but am not sure he is on the staff yet. Am not full of confidence in Dorrel or Lee but of the two give me Dorrel.

You would think that Lee would have the inside track given that he would have 2 years to develop Henne and that would be a perfect transition point. He also is innovative to suggest bringing the wildcat in and try it. We'll see. Nice to finally have enough confidence in the coaching staff to have a good feeling they wil lmake the right choice.

Dorrell from the beginning was said to be the one that was being groomed. I think Lee is only being mentioned because he is the one who injected the Wildcat into the offense. I would also probably rather Dorrell be the one who takes over.

If Henning can continue to develop this offense and Dorrell is working closely under him, an inside promotion rather than going out and finding someone new would be better. The players I think will respond better to some continuity then having to learn a new system over again.

We better be careful though, like Bowles this year, I could see Dorrell getting head coaching interviews. Both at the pro and college level.
