I've got to give a shoot-out to Will Davis. Yes, I know he didn't really make a splash play like some of our other defenders did, but in his first significant NFL action facing a future HOF QB, he more than held his own. Last year, the moment he or Taylor hit the field against Brady (I can't remember which one got in the game for a drive), they were picked on endlessly. Brady saw a weak link and exploited it over and over. Will Davis didn't let himself be a weak link today, and as time went on we saw him stride for stride with his man. The few times Brady threw at him he was in position and would have likely gotten a pick or at least a breakup if it had been on target. Brady said it himself that they were covering everybody in the second half.
Its just great to see Davis come in and hold his own versus a frontline NFL team when so many were writing him off in the offseason since he was a non-factor last year.
