Hello, fellow DolFans. I decided to analyze few things...Now, before I'll even start, I want everybody to realize that I am a very optimistic guy. (Some says im foolish, I say that I am a TRUE fan) Back at week nine..when we were Two and Six i belive, and nobody knew how BAD Rex Grossman actually was, and what kind of season JT is going to have (I mean, Finfans new he was Great, but thats jsut us) Nobody was giving us a chance, NOBODY. Some people sayed we will get destroyed, some sayed it will b a shotout...Some FinFans were liek..yah..It's possible...But how many HONESTLY belived that we will beat the Bears? Not many..and i will lie if i say i thoght that we were goin' to blow them away. But yet..i walked around all week saying that we will do so...My point is..Im not the kind of guy who leaves the game early, who truns off the TV with 4 minutes left, when ure team is down by twenty one, and the opponenet has the ball...
Now...with all that sayed. Let's be honest..We have a TOUGH schedule next season. We have Five teams that made it to the playoffs this year (I counted bengals) Two "sleeper" teams in Pittsburg and Washington, and the way we played against Green Bay and Houston, I siriously think Bronws might be a problem. (Especially after that 21-0 beatin' they handed to us year ago, AND they ebat the jets, something we couldn't do) So..the only "gimme games" are Oakland and Houston. Now, let's not froget the division; Pats are gettin' ready for their AFC title game (or already playin'g it) As you reading this. The JETS (yes, those stinkin' jets that we hate with pasion, the team that went 4-12 last year) have made it to the playoffs (even thoght they didin'tdo anything there, it dosen't change the fact that they did, and I dont wanna hear nothing bout their easy schedule, we had one of those too..) And the BILLS, who still suck, but who still have Lee Evans and a quarterback who can throw to him, may still win. Don't forget that they beat us twice this year. Now..with a new season ahead, I ask you my friends will we be over .500? I',m not asking if its possible, I knoe that it is. I am asking' WILL we be over 500?

Depends on what they do during the off-season but I like what they are doing right now by having Capers run the defens and Cameron runs the offense, they are two of the best at what they do in the NFL and with them alone I think Miami should make a difference next season.

I think theres a very good chance because with our defense being in the same d once again and not changing coordinators there bound to improve on that 4th ranked d from last year and the Offense can only get better with Mularky pushed aside!

I say yes. I have nothing factual to substantiate that with. That's just pure conjecture and gut feeling. But I say yes. We will be above .500.

Oh yah..a lil note..if u are a fan..and voted no..slap yourself..because you are not a tre fan.

Probably not. There are a lot of issues on offense particularly in the passing game. I'm not sure some posters know just how bad the offense was in 2006. Maybe this will put it into perspective, they averaged less points per game than the 2004 AJ Feeley led offense did. That's putrid. We need the passing game to improve dramatically to be over .500. I'm not even sure how the Dolphins go about doing this as I don't believe it's as simple as improving the o-line like some posters do. We need a QB, not sure he's on our roster but I believe we should waste a season on Daunte (IF HE'S HEALTHY) because we did give up a 2nd for him, he was a good QB at one time and we aren't going to win the Super Bowl in 2007. We need to find out if this guy can play well and discard him quickly if he cannot. I DON'T BELIEVE the DOLPHINS SHOULD MAKE ANY STUPID TRADES WHERE THEY GIVE UP ANYTHING FOR A QB. We've now been down that road twice and it's led to disaster both times. Our WR's are an enigma. Chambers went from a pro bowl WR to a guy who can hardly catch or get open, Booker shows flashes but is made of glass, Welker is a good number 3 but if Wes is truly our best WR we are in big trouble and than there's McMichael another guy we just can't figure out. I think Ronnie Brown is probably our best offensive player and the jury is still out on him. Should be an interesting year but I'll be surprised if we are above .500, unless the passing game transforms into something that resembles an NFL passing game. To think that AJ Feeley, Derrius Thompson amd the plethera of RB's we had in 2004 were better than this year unit is sickening.

Like any other January 21st, I will say that it depends on the remainder of the coaching moves being completed, the free agents lost, players signed, traded, or just flat out cut. Then the Draft, UDFA's and coming together in TC. I usually withhold my judgement until TC, however, with THIS TEAM right now, i'd say MAYBE .500, but no better. (That's going with Lemon as QB and no Ricky/Ronnie combo backfield) I think a healthy Culpepper both mentally and physically under Cam's direction and a Ronnie and Ricky Backfield combo would make us a better team than we currently are.

P.S. Saying "no" doesn't mean you're not a true fan. It means you're realistic or caustious at putting too much into just a coaching change. But you're allowed to be critical of your team and not have complete faith in them and still be a true fan. that's like saying that being against the war in iraq means you don't love your country.

you gotta be kiddin'

I think you forgot who was our strating quarterback.... He didin't threw to chambers.marty is a good wideout, but he does get hurt..wes is still developing, and u cant say he is bad. He dropped less passes than any1 else on this Dolphins team. ANd mcmichael diidnt have a great year, BUT if you thik he cant figure it out...ou are WROONG.

if we get decent play out of the quarterback position we will. if we don't, we don't. That position has dogged this team for years

Which thankfully doesn't bode well for Mike "full of" Mularkey:D

It is way to early to predict. I am not that good at it at the beginning of the season. I definetly would be rotten now, besides I am too much of a homer.

We won't be over .500 next season if Culpepper is the starting QB.
