Will Dolphins suffer from jet lag Sunday?

I think the Raiders got screwed though. They had to fly all the way from CA and they still have to play a 10 AM PST game.

If they've been there since Monday I don't think it will matter. Nobody gets jet lag that bad.

I think we should have left sooner because you cant judge how every player will handle it. just another reason no team will be in Europe.

I believe they flew directly from the game in Foxborough last week

yea the raiders should have no affect since they went there right away. Smart move although its football and jet lag will probably not decide game

Didn't they fly directly to London after the Patriots game? I don't think they even went back to the West Coast.

The NFL appears to be dead set on putting a team in London. It's just an atrocious money grab that I believe will end up backfiring if they accomplish it.

Multiple players have already stated they would never play for a team in London.

A London franchise would be so handicaped in th Free Agent market.

'Rumors' that the team would play 8 straight home games in London, then 8 straight away games over in the states or 4-4-4-4 splits, etc.

Players interviewed have stated they would not want to spend 4 straight weeks on the road. Either in London or traveling in the states (as most live in the states).

NFL is screwing this one up. Any London team would fold in a matter of years or would be non-competitive due to the lack of free agent talent they can aquire.

Yeah it depends. On one hand, you could argue that players will go where the money is.

On the other hand, if there's an offer on the table from an American team that's even close to competitive... I imagine most players are taking it.

If I'm a player, the first thing that comes to mind is taxes. You would essentially be an employee for a foreign company paying personal income taxes in the range of 45% to 50%

Yep, this is why no free agent in their right mind would ever play there... It is not only a huge drain on their finances, it is also a problem for their families and even their performance due to all the travel, etc.

What would happen to a star play drafted by the London team? Could he technically live there for 10+ years without being a citizen? Would he need some type of work visa for he and his family? Just too many barriers to make this work.

And to top it off, its not like the local fanbase there really has this great desire for american football. If they end up with a crummy team, they won't show. I mean, how is the sport going to catch on there if the home team is bottom dweller?

for a foreign company? it wouldn't be the NFL anymore?

Poster probably ment they would pay taxes to foreign country?

Not sure how that happens honestly.

Do you pay London/England taxes plus US taxes?

There are tax agreements between most countries (In other words- you can get some US tax credit for paying taxes in another country). You are basically taxed on your worldwide income in the US.

If a team in London is a problem just have the NFL up their cap or allow an extra allowance to the players there

NFL not stupid there's huge money over there Adidas pays $100 million a year to be Manchester United shoe they only pay $30 mil for whole NBA
