Tight Ends offer easy yards for QB’s
As an Offensive Coordinator, Adam Gase has a history of success utilizing Tight Ends in both Denver and Chicago. However in Miami, he hasn’t had anything more than used toilet paper to work with.

No, I don’t think TE is THE primary need this Offseason, but it’s certainly a top contender.

There are a lot of positions that could use an upgrade, but there are zero prospects on this team who are certain fill the role of a quality starting Left Guard, Tight End, and defender to cover opposing TE’s. NO. ONE.

Yeah, I like MarQueis Gray and I think he is a great find for the H-Back role.

A.J. Derby could be a nice piece of the TE puzzle… could be.

Thomas Duarte? He’s been active only one game in near 2 years.

Jesse Davis has been Phinsnews 2018 Adopted POY since Week 2 of the Preseason, but due to his height and skillset, he isn’t a Left Guard. Right Guard, yes. But a PB ‘block alone’ LG–NOPE.

Issiac Asiata? Nope. He’s a Right Guard too… if he can get his footwork a lot smoother.

Now, amid all the frustration of fans and the poor season, Stephone Anthony is a bit forgotten and looking like a pretty darn good acquisition for a 5th RD pick… but still, I wouldn’t bank on him in the role of cover LB. Not with Kiko Alonso being the utter disaster in coverage that he’s been.

I just don’t get how they could believe him to be a high cover LB. His tape last year screamed, NO! *Sigh*.

Anyway, these three roles are critical to the success of 2018–even if some of these aforementioned guys do pan out, and in the process you double up these spots, even better.

Your thoughts?

I'd love to draft a TE in the 2nd or 3rd round but who knows what they'll do

Ozzy rules!!

Agreed....at this point I have no idea what the hell Gase and company have up their sleeve.......last year was the year of the TE and was hoping to see one of them here.

Gase’s offense requires a dynamic seam TE and I’d bet they will either draft one in the 4th or pick up one in FA. It’s a must.

We need one to put this o in gear. If one is avail we need to take a hard look at him.

I wouldn't expect to get much if they wait till the 4 round. If you want a real TE you'll have to draft one no later than the 2nd round. It's not a deep class this year. If we draft 12 in round one then we'll be drafting 11 in round two and we might have a good TE there like Goedert

Why did Gase think Thomas was the answer? I'd rather have had Albert another year, lol

Point me in the direction of the dynamic draft option and I’m on board

One things for sure I want a flex for the future

Wow a blog site written as the gospel. I rather get a couple cheap Dion Sims type of TE's, the jack of trades master of none. But doesn't tip off the defense.
Save my picks for LB and RB with whatever talent falls in the draft

We might roll with Gray and Derby and just bring a Y TE to replace Fasano. Dalton Schultz in the 3rd would be nice.

I think this is possible although I think fasano could be back one more year

You have to appreciate Tannenbaum's approach to the offseason where he adds viable if marginal plan a's accross the board to avoid forcing his hand. Yes Fasano might be back but he wouldn't keep me from drafting Fumagalli in the second or schultz in the 3rd.
