Now i know its atleast not a year from now until Henne is starting in Miami. But i really believe Henne will favor Ginn and Ginn will be better with Henne for 2 simple reasons.

1st Chad Henne was always used to a high power offense at Michigan with his buddy Jake Long, he always had 1st or 2nd round talent at WR Braylong Edwards or Manningham and all the others, coming to the Dolphins he doesnt really have the same "1st round talent at WR" that everyone thinks Ted Ginn isnt, even though he is on his way. Henne played against Ginn often enough to watch him torch Michigans secondary and make plays for them. Henne knows he has a cannon for an arm and wants the youngest fastest most athletically gifted(talking about his pure speed and agility) aka Ginn right now is the cloest thing he has to what he was used to playing with college, and he knows Ginn is the only one on the team who can stay stride for stride with his deep balls

2nd- Ted Ginn obviously is still raw but he is making progress and people have taken notice, Now i love what Pennington has done but everyone knows he is grooming Henne for 2010, and Chad simply can not take advantage of Ginn's speed. And Ginn knows it, Ginn probably gets lazy in his routes now because he knows he cant go full speed or on a deep route without having to slow up for the ball, aka the Jets game where if he didnt come back for the ball that flea flicker by chad easily could have been picked by two people even tho Ginn had them completely beat and it wuda been a TD if you have Henne in there, also see the Ravens play off game where Ginn blew by and Chad floated it and it got picked, also the Bills Game where Ginn had to stop and jump in the air to catch a ball he outran. Either way Ginn wants to go back to what he was doing in college and run deep routes to use the speed ability Miami drafted him for and him im sure watching Henne in college saw what he could do against the Ohio State defense. Thats why he gets so many reverse play calls because the coaches know he is the most dangerous when he has the ball in his hands while in his full stride( which maybe no1 but Devin Hester could catch) and the and they know chad cant give that to him, but Henne can.

I hope it does happen because they would be a dangerous QB WR combo for years

Thoughts?

I'm thinking he'll favor whoever can make plays...But that may be just me. I'm betting he'll check down to the Tight End or RBs alot at first then, hit his stride.

I think it's a matter of scheme. The number of balls Ginn caught in college that were straight fly routes were minimal. He did alot of damage on slants coming across the middle (which allow him to catch the ball while running at full speed). Penny's "deep ball" is not great, but his short and middle range passes are accurate and on time. Ginn should still be able to flourish with Penny at QB, we just need some other receiving threats to take the %150 focus off Ginn.

Just my opinion.....

PS: Beer is good

yah ginn wont have a 1000 yrd season until Henne starts..
however i think while ginn will get more oppertunities from Henne, others wont. Bess or cam will disapear, especially since we need that no.1 type WR who will need his fair share of targets..

Just cuz Ginn is fast doesnt' mean Henne will favor him though.. Henne might bond with Bess' style of routes, or London's size.. I hope we get an upgrade at TE over Martin.. I'd prefer a massive framed blocker/redzone rather than the skinny 6'8 Haynos...

I think Henne needs a no.1 target. With one year of Penningtons coaching style a rookie WR could be ready for Henne next year

Devin Hester is a dangerous player, but he does not possess blinding speed, does not run under 4.4, while Ginn has been timed at 4.19 at Ohio St. and legend has it, has run the 40 in even less!

In the limited time he was in there he stretched the field well and in doing so I think Ginn was his #1 target. That's not to say when Henne finally gets his shot Ginn will be. We might end up drafting another WR this year that would push Ginn down a spot. Either way, I'm happy with the way we're going to look when Henne finally gets a chance.

i think you wont see what ginn can really do for us untel we get chad Henne in there

Henne's number one receiver will be Ted Ginn provided he is on the team when Henne gets his shot. With Henne at QB, Ginn will have more receptions and yards than the other receivers on the team that much I am positive about.

That one drive against Arizona he looked Ginn's way like three times. I wouldn't be surprised if he focused in on him. I doubt that Henne will spread the ball around as much as Pennington.

Do you mean this preseason?

Cuz I got a feeling by the time Henne is actually starting, ginn will most likely be playing...

In another uniform. :err:

How much does anyone here want to bet that Ginn is with this team for years to come? Anyone? Any takers?

Haynos is 270 lbs. That's not really skinny, even for a 6'8" guy.
