Will Joey Porter show up against Kansas City this week?

One of our strongest players within our defense has been Joey Porter. He has given our defense a better chance to win our games with his everlasting persistence to get to the QB and his leadership attributes that have been acknowledged by his coaches and peers. Last week was another game where Porter did not make an impact as he did earlier in the season and it has made me wonder if the streak will continue in the next couple of games against Kansas City and the Jets.


Do you think that Joey Porter will have a big game against Kansas City or do you think that Porter will be put in check by Kansas City?
 
i think they will keep joey in check early in the game but as joey usually does, he will show up in the fourth quarter and impact the game
 
He has been nothing short of amazing!!! When he first got here I was so proud of the dolphins just to get a player like him. You know taylor, zach, cox, armstrong. Now it is staring to truely show what a dominate player like him can do in the right system. He was double teamed almost all of last game, but when it was on the line at the end....he came through again. I expect him to have about five tackles, one sack, and a force fumble......if not two sacks, and about six tackles. I will also say this again.....we are superbowl bound!!!!
 
I think he has favorable matchups this week especiallyw hen he's on the right side going against Damion Mcintosh. I think they got the Rookie playing LT too. So i would def like to see him making an impact early on in the game and setting the tone. He's been held in check the last 2 games but did close each of the last 2 nicely with a sack late in the game. This week though we need him to be the tone setter. Come straight out and hit'em early
 
Porter is in for a big day! The Chiefs tackles have really struggled in pass protection. Brandon Albert has given up 4.5 sacks and ex-Dolphin, D-Mac has given up 7. I think if they continue to move Porter all around, he'll get pressure. I doubt the cold weather will affect him much either because of all his years in Pittsburgh. Mark my words, Porter will get at least 1 sack. I also predict a big game for Roth.
 
Even in games where Porter does not have a sack, he is still making an impact. By drawing double coverage he allows Roth and others more opportunities. Unfortunately, they have not capitalized enough.

Exactly. The other players need to take advantage. Porter is almost always double teamed now.
 
Porter just scored a Pro-Bowl and has 17.5 sacks all this after being told he was finished ... he'll be fine.
 
you better believe the opposing qb takes a look see where porter is coming from before every play, especially obvious passing downs. just his presence on the field helps our defense. hopefully charlie anderson continues to step up and bring the heat like he has been doing the last couple of weeks
 
I hope Joey gets 3 -3.5 sacks this week so that he will be hungry going into NY next week. Remember... Favre layed down for Strahan (sp?) it would see if he wants to be listed in the record books again.. QB Sacked by the first and second sack leader.
 
I can see that in my head right now: JP breaking through and Favre standing there, looking at him. Joey says, "Lay down, *****(female canine)!" and Favre obliges.
