Will Miami go after Dallas Clark?

I just heard on NFL Network that Dallas Clark will be a free agent this off-season and the reporter made a comment about "Miami would love to get him".

Which got me thinking, I as a Dol-Fan would love to have a big Jay Novachek style TE in our lineup next year, what do you guys think about him.
 
I think he is a perfect fit for their system. I'm not sure if he will blosom anywhere else
 
i would take him over shockey, but he would never leave the colts
 
we need a TE and Clark is a beast with great hands i would love to see him in orange and teal, but now with that said i highly doubt the colts let him go. Shockey would be a great fit too. I think we really need a TE though cuz i doubt David Martin can cut it as a number 1 TE.
 
yep. no way Clark gets away from Indy. no way they dont resign or tag him. Peytons go to guy when you absolutely have to make a play? they have a great front office, not gonna happen
 
they won't let him go now with Harrison on the downside of his career and breaking down more and more
 
When the Colts signed Bob Sanders in the season, it was almost guaranteed they were going to franchise Dallas Clark. In fact about a month ago Polian had said it was very likely. With the franchise tag number under $5Mil for TEs, it's very manageable for a player like Clark.
 
Dallas Clark is a product of a system. Not to take anything away from him, but when you have to worry about Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, you're going to be open a lot. I still think he's a very talented tight end, and I wouldn't mind having him. But people would be dissapointed when he only scores 3-4 TDs as opposed to the 6-10 a season he has been putting up.
 
its pretty sure that the colts will slap the franchise tag on him.. they had this season 2 players they wanted to keep badly(sanders and clark) and they had to resign one of them to slap the franchise tag on the other..they ve resigned sanders so it will be pretty sure that clark will be a franchise player..

I heard on NFL network last week they expect him to get tagged also. Unless they get a deal worked out beforehand. Either way, it's pretty much 100% we don't have a shot at him. Love to have him here though.
 
He is Peytons roomie and one of his best friends. I do not foresee a way he will not be a colt this coming season.

Isnt Ben Watson of the Pats a FA though? Hed come with a manageable contract, provide a good target (esp. for the redzone) and bring a winning teams attitude. Would be nice to steal some Pats players for once instead of the other way around.
 
I wouldn't mind picking Watson up. It'd be nice to stick it to the Patriots for once, like you said, Texan. He would certainly be an upgrade to our TEs.

Dallas will be tagged by with the Colts.....:beer1:
