A friend of mine and I were discussing this earlier and I wanted more opinions. Do you think Miami will move Pat White to WR? Like the pick or not I was hoping the kid would show some promise. Obviously he didn't. For some unknown reason he was uncomfortable and he look like he was playing scared :ohno:. Do any of you think he would have value at WR? Next year I think Miami will go with Henne as the starter and the back ups will be Pennington and Thigpen. I think Pat White would make a better WR than QB in the NFL anyway so why not give it a shot. What do you think?

If you can consider Pat White at WR then anyone on this team is eligible. .Anyone that can run...and has held a football in their hands will be eligible..forget anyone that actually has some experience.

I hope they do simply to keep him on the roster. But even with him listed as a WR, they should still use him as a QB sometimes in wildcat formations. I would like to see him be a utility guy on Miami - throw passes, catch passes, run the ball, etc. Just get him involved on a set of plays designed to feature his talents.

"he looks like he plays scared" -dumbest quote of the year by almost everyone.

Seriously?

So now MIA should at least give him 3 years to get 'it' at WR? So a 4 year project?

If Ginn can't get 'it' what makes you think White can? His deep experience at the position?

Pat White did not want to be considered a WR, he wanted to play quarterback. That's why at his pro day, he told the masses that he would only throw and not catch passes. I say, put him at whatever position helps the team. If it's at wide receiver than put him at wide receiver. If it's water boy than cut his *** (we could find a cheaper water boy). IMO if Pat White wants to play in the NFL, he'll do what he told. Even if that means changing positions.

Like I said before, Pat White would be a perfect fit at WR...

...if we're looking for a slower version of Ginn with worse hands!

Pat White is a second round draft pick. You don't spend and then abandon him after one season. Get him in the weight room. Get him to put on 8 - 10 pounds this offseason. Get him catching passes, running the ball, and of course passing at QB. Get him more involved in the offense in 2010. He might be a playmaker for Miami in 2010.

Might, Hope, all the same. Don't mean a hill of beans. What has he shown that says he can be a success at WR? Also, I believe he has 'tiny' hands...that don't bode well for someone who tries to make a living in the NFL.

Good perspective. I agree that we cannot just put this kid in the past. Too many people on here are done with him after he takes a helmet-to-helmet.

I'd bet Pat Whites hands aren't any smaller then Davone Bess's hands
