I mean Saban really didnt attack the free agents this year!! oodman these guys are useless!!

We need playmakers ad mix Youth with young players so The team can be dominant!

Miami needs to play pysical and compliment Ves like ZT and JT!!

Im sure Miami will lots of space and some vets will be gone like Holliday Carter Traylor Wilkinson ETC! The team neeeds to get a good line and draft with a big free agency!!

Please Saban Be agressive come free agency

The less free agents the better....build by the draft....and choose very wisely on free agents.

we can always hope for more O line help so by the time this one gels they will be broken up and we will be back to where we have been at the beggining of the past 3 years :boohoo:

Dominizzo...You are 26 years old. At the rate Saban is going, you'll be my age before we are dominant.

after waiting as long as i have for us to win a superbowl i want the dolphins to achieve another first. the first to win 3 in a row - a forget that- 5 in a row

You build thru the draft and fill a couple holes via free agency. If you have any doubts just look @ the Redskins for the past 5 years.

Btw.....Saban did attack thru FA......the 50million dollar man Daunte. That's a pretty big move.

who r one of the bigger FA names that r gonna be out there..?

Exactly! We can't be redoing our o-line, maybe change one of the starters, if we keep flip-flopping, we'll get nowhere.

That was a trade. Believe me I see your point but Daunte wasn't a free agent.

Anyway Dolfans there is one problem we may have with attacking free agency next season, even to just fill a couple of holes. There was an article that many agents were upset with the Dolphins last offseason. Many of them sent their clients to Miami first only to not be, "shown the money" as they say in the business. Some agents stated they would not give the Dolphins that kind of treatment in the future and are wary of Nick Saban's tactics.

cant...we're only $550k under this years' cap...and that's not the way to get to the next level...we've too many fat contracts...we need to expunge players (yes even talented Pro Bowlers)...by pushing some of their cap $$$ into bonus money, trade them for futures, and face 1yr of "cap hell"...after that, we're free, and probably somewhere in the realm of $25-$35m under the 2008 cap....we'll be lean and very young...flush with cash...and really pissed off!....

I agree with the point you are trying to make as offensive line shuffling is one of my biggest pet peeves. Many posters just want to keep throwing players at the O-line until we get it right. This is not a good strategy. We will not have 5 pro bowlers up front. We need to find a pro bowl caliber lineman and 4servicable guys and STICK WITH THEM. The most successful lines in the NFL have the least turnover therefore the most cohesion. Look at KC prior to 06. Not many changes were made and they were usually the best unit. I'm not saying these 5 guys are on our roster but it sure would be best if they were. Otherwise we are wasting valuable time at building a cohesive offensive line that could be good for many years. That should be the ultimate goal. Last year our staff and FO thought they had the horses to do that, now we are not so sure.

thanks for better articulating my thought
it just feels as though people need to look at the finished product of the year and see where our cards lay, i realize culp was part of the reasons for SOME of the sacks, but it appears as though our offense line is getting better by no means perfect, but if by the end of the year we have a line that is getting the push and not getting costly penalties, why get 3-4 new starters????? drafting 1-2 never a bad idea, going through free agency and getting other teams disgards or paying outrageous amounts for a unit that might have the possibility of progressively getting better........who knows what they will do
