We are expecting DC back for either week one of shortly therafter. But this means he will miss the pre-season. Week one will be his first game in almost a year. Do you guys think that he will be negatively affected by not playing pre-seaon?

Yes.

QBs and WRs need to work on their timing in game situations. It will take a while for them to work it out, but they're gonna work it out.

The good news is that we play some really crappy teams early on in the season: Buffalo, Tennessee, Houston, Jets, Green Bay,

Thats why even if he was back for week 1 i wouldn't play him against Pittsburgh. More good news is that after that Thursday opener we have 10 or 11 days (too early to do the math) to get him ready for the next game.

I don't think so, he's a vetran and he knows the system. He will just need to knock some of the rust off, but that shouldn't take long. He'll be rollin before you know it!!

Yes, definitely will affect him, but guess what, he is training and thats a very good sign for him, he might lose the rythm, but with those early trainings he will recover it very soon though he is absorbing the system...

I don't think we should play him until mid to late october. He has a very serious injury and to rush him back 6 weeks too early is just not worth it. The guy needs to get his knee 100% and not 80%. We have this guy until like 2013 so lets make sure the guy will be healthy. We need to get Harrington and let him play half the season and see how he does.

Yea. Good point. I dont think it's worth it to RUSH him back before he should be in - just to win a few games. We want him to be perfectly healthy for future years. & Later THIS year.

It won't affect him....

he's a veteran.. Preseason helps rookies or guys that need to learn the system.. everything DC does is going to be familiar territory..

Preseason is over rated.. even if he were playing.. think about how much he would actually play. less than a quarter? 2-3 drives?

He can work on timing in practice..

Obviously TC would help build chemistry. However Daunte has been throwing already, so we should be fine. I'm sure he won't get any game experience though.
