will our defense be better or worse than last year?

I wish I could give you guys my password and username for lsusports.tv, so you can see how our D will be playing this year. It's really amazing to watch, all the pre-snap movements, blitz, stunts, 3-4's, 4-3's, zone blitzes and etc..I mean, I think Nick's way of playing defense is a thing of beauty..
 
DL- Improvement with Carter and Holliday. Plus we get back our two DTs in Bowens and Chester.

LB- I would say about the same as last year. We lost Greenwood, but we did sign Spragan(he is good, but not great). Also, we get Seau back from his injury

Secondary- I like the youth, but we downgraded a little. T-Jones was a great pickup and should be able to easily take over for Knight. Poole and Howard should do a good job on the opposite side of Madison.

Overall, I think we still have a very good Defense, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they are better. Top 10.

Hope u r right. Top 10 i wud be happy with. I think our defensive Front will dominate this coming season. After last season it will be a blessing!!! Just not sure about the DB backfield. Im hoping Poole will prove everyone right and be a permanent fixture. Madison will be on downslide sooner than later so i wudnt mind seeing us draft a potential starter in a season or 2. Safety needs addressing soon as well.
 
I'm anxious to see Will Poole in a bigger role.
 
our secondary can´t be as good as it was, because we just lost one of the best corners in the league and i still think we got robbed, a 2nd rounder and a 5th round swap, that sucks...:yell:
 
The D-Line is by far better, should be able to stop the run better...but then it couldnt be much worse then last year. Linebackers better because they are the same except the young guys have some more expierience. Corners well with the glaring hole that Pat has left it will be a decline untill Will gets some experience, other then that it should be ok. Safteys are pending the draft, because one should be taken I am sure in there somewhere, and then it should be about the same as last year. Overall, I think it will still have potential to be a top 10 I am just a little concerned with the pass Defence, but it is probably because I am heart broken at the departure of 23. My question is what will it be like not having Surtain, and Madison? So many years of Qb's being scared to through.
 
yep. Brady must be a happy chappy tonite knowing Surtains gone. im worried about our DB,s.
