Anyone know if he will get any snaps today in any of our 4 wide sets or goal line situations? I really had high hopes for this kid and I'm disappointed he couldn't beat out Hartline on the depth chart. Though I do have a feeling their roles are completely different.

Mark my words...Turner will contribute this season, maybe more than most would think (my prediction - 40 rec, 550 yrd, 6 TDs). In fact, I have a feeling all of our WRs will get 40-60 rec on the year and none will dominate, with the way Penny and Henning work an offense (though I wish Ginn would start dominating).

I don't believe he will I think the real question is will Pat White be active or not.

I am thinking not.

What I am looking for is:

Is Pat White on active roster and if so...is he a WR for the rule purpose.

Is Cam Wake active? Cus the dude is better than JT out of the 3pt stance and having JT at OLB blitzing or covering would be awesome IMO.

Is Lex Hilliard active? cus if he is, then maybe they have a few plays designed for him. Not likely IMO unless they see him as ST player with some impact.

Sporano said to pay no attention to the Wr depth chart, we'll see them all. So I guess we'll know for sure in a few hours.

I seriously doubt that Turner will be active. Here is my guess on the inactives:

WR - Patrick Turner (not enough special teams)
DL - Lionel Dotsen (3rd string backup on all 3 line spots)
QB - Chad Henne (Can still play via 3rd QB rule)
LB - Quentin Moses (doesn't play the special teams that Anderson/Walden play)
OT - Nate Garner (or Andrew Gardner . . one will be inactive)
OG - Shawn Murphy (Berger active cuz of C/G)
RB - Lex Hilliard (Just no room)

Last Spot is hard to figure . . .could be: LB - Charlie Anderson / CB - Jason Allen / LB - Erik Walden / maybe one of the TE's but usually we keep 3 active . . . doubt they put another OL . . . they need atleast a G/C (Berger) and a OT (Gardner) on the active roster. Maybe another WR? Nah doubt it. Maybe one of the DLinemen? I think we like the 6 man rotation. It will be interesting.

Special Teams: Cobbs, Wake, Culver, Clemmons, Nate Jones, Polite, Torbor, Hartline, Nalbone . . . they seem like 9 guys that will be on special teams . . . obviously on returns u throw in Ginn or Bess . . . or both . . . that last spot or 2 will determine who is active and who is not. Walden or Jason Allen, or both and no Anderson. We will soon find out.

I agree with that. Who really cares about Turner, he is useless. I dobut the Phisn suit up 5 wr's. The guy I want to see in uniform is White. I want to see him play in the wildcat. I am curious to see if they plan use him right off the bat.

They really need to make Turner active next week and use him in the role they had for Fasano. I'm not saying I want Turner converted to TE, I just think he can provide that big body to make tough catches over the middle that Fasano did not provide for us today.

And I'm not overreacting like a lot of fans calling for Fasano's benching. He is still our starting TE and feel he will rebound from this game, but Turner is a WR with great hands and a big body. He will hold on to the football and can win jump balls.

I just think this board and even the coaching staff is overrating Hartline. He seems to need a push off to get separation. Everyone is banking too much on him being a sleeper. Turner can beat good coverage with his height and bulk. Hartline cannot.

Signed - Official leader of the "activate Turner" bandwagon, AKA clownfish.

Hartline had 2 balls thrown to him today and caught both of them...we should cut him right?

He got another pass interferance call for pushing off so no he still not looking great. Bess is a way better option and CLOWNFISH is right Turner has a different skill set that we could use more then Hartline.

Did I say we should cut Hartline? Get a brain and don't talk to me like I'm some casual fan, dude. I preempted my comments by saying I was not panicking and that I don't want any benching or drastic measures. I just feel Turner deserves a shot after what we witnessed today.

Hartline has the same skill sets as Camarillo and did have a big offensive PI call against him causing us to go from 2nd and 9 to 2nd and 19, from the ATL 37 yard line to their 47 yard line. And this was in the 3rd quarter, when it was still 10-0. We were moving the ball well and looking decent on that drive. That penalty killed any momentum we had. Plus his 2 catches went for a huge 13 yards.

I just think that Turner offers the team a tall possession type receiver that we clearly did not have today. Your "nawledge" is marginal, at best.
