Or will the Jet Defense be wating for him? What do you guys think? I beleive he can help our D a lot in detecting some situations and formations....

I honestly have no earthly idea. If Jake and the boys can keep him upright long enough, I think Chad will do a very good job. If not, I'm afraid we'll have to endure more than our fair share of trash talk from Jets fans come Monday.

The only pickin will be Favre pickin himself up off the ground sack after sack and the Phins secondary pickin him off when he is able to avoid the front 7.

The only thing that worries me is our DB's need to finish plays. If they let up when Favre looks like he is toast, Brett is very good at winging it at the last second into tight places. As far as chad goes, he should be able to use his masterful play action skills with the R&R express behind him. I think we will have atleast a 9 minute time of possesion lead on them, which will swing a tight 4th quarter into our favor!

Stang, if they let up it will only happen once. Sparano will be all over them. Hopefully the one time wouldn't be the game decider.

i truley believe chad will have a better day than favre.... thus making it a very tough day for jets fans.

"Will Pennington Pick Them Apart?"

...No

CP not only knows the tendencies of your defense. He knows the playbook better than Favre.
He knows the defensive signals and alignments.
He won't take chances like Favre will so he is less likely to turn the ball over.
In a close game, that could be the difference.

Chad isnt one to pick a team apart on a GREAT DAY. He will manage he will make good throws and check down when he needs to go deep if he sees it and we will run to much for him to "Pick someone apart" that at least to me mean he throws 40 times and puts up crazy numbers. He will have a good game NO DOUBT

The only flaw with your theory is the Jets defense knows his tendencies as well. The Jets coaching staff knows Chads abilities and inabilities. I have heard from to many sources now that the Jets defensive playbook will be shortened, knowing first hand there are several routes Pennington can't hit. To me that's a benefit to the Jets and not Chad.

I'll believe our offensive line will protect the QB after seeing it a couple games as well, to many people have assumed this is not an issue.

IMO if Chad doesn't do well today expect him not to finish the season as our starting QB. My thinking is if his short comings are enough to take his edge away today then he really has more downside than upside.

I dont think he'll pick them apart but I do think he will have a good game and along with ronnie and ricky will lead us to victory.

They won't even be thinking of Pennington when the medical staff is busy removing Ricky and Ronnie's cleats from their backsides all game long.

The only flaw with your rebuttal is that Chad is a game manager and he will have a lot of help i.e O-line, RW, RB, TG. The Jets can't key on Pennington. They have to stop the run 1st, which won't be an easy task IMO. Pennington is not the type of QB who has to carry an offense (unlike a Favre or Marino).
Chad is probably a lot smarter than most of the guys on the Jets defense and he knows their playbook. More importantly he also knows the offensive playbook. I'm sure he has had more than a few meetings with Paqualoni.
