Will Peterson has been rehabbing for awhile and is ready to comeback into the pros. I think he would be an interesting pickup. This guy played really well before injuries stook their toll on his play but if he's back to form we could pick him up cheap and pair him up with his old partner Will Allen and move Daniels back to safety. If he doesnt pan out, he wouldnt cost us anything. It seems like the type of pickup Saban likes, high reward, low risk

With our current CB situation, I'd rather keep Daniels there. He's still the best cover CB on our team when healthy. We can get Peterson and dump Eddie Jackson/Lehan.

A healthy Will Peterson is much better than Tillman, Lehan and Goodman. Move Goodman to the nickle.I would like to have him here.

Here is another interesting option:

Bucs CB Brian Kelly received several inquiries about a report that he was on the trading block. With Tuesday's trade deadline approaching, rumors are starting to run rampant.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I think he's got a foot injury so I dont know how effective he would be this year but we would finally have some depth

I think the skinny on Will Peterson was that his career is pretty much over. He has hot spots on his back that keep developing into fractures when he gets any significant amounts of practice and/or game play.

I've not heard any reports that Peterson has made progress in his rehab.

Apparently the Bucs may be willing to do a fire sale. I think the original source is fox sports. I got this off a bucs forum

Perhaps the most intriguing phone calls have come from the 813 area code. That would be Tampa. Several clubs have called the Buccaneers' approach a "fire sale." According to seven different teams, the Bucs have offered up such names as DT Anthony McFarland, CB Brian Kelly and a handful of others.

"They said we can take a look at their roster and aside from first-day picks the last couple of years, guys like Cadillac, everyone else they're open to talking about," said one team's GM. "They can't trade certain guys like Derrick Brooks or Ronde Barber but we got the impression they were open to everybody else."

Another team executive said he thought DE Simeon Rice and safety Jermaine Phillips were also included in the group of those players Tampa would be open to trading. It's unclear what cap ramifications would arise from trading a Rice, McFarland or Kelly.

Wow, big time fire sale. Wouldn't mind seeing some of those guys in Dolphins uni's next season.

I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Simeon Rice. Brian Kelly does surprise me though because he looks like their best CB at times.

They'd probably be asking at least a 2nd for him, just like we did Surtain.

If we could get hold of Booger McFarland to nail down Vonnie Holliday's spot long term that would be highly impressive...but the price would have to be HIGH, like at least a first round pick.

McFarland would sew up that position for the long term though I dont know what our salary cap position is next year and he would want alot. I hope we get our salary cap under control soon like next year or the one adfter that
