Hey i was just wondering if there were any news on Will Poole and how he has been progressing since his injury because if he is going to come back healthy i think he can be an impact player which will alter our draft picks.

His rehab has been great and he's been progressing pretty well.I hope he lives up to his potential,we could have another great duo in him and Daniels if they dont get injured

He'll be ready for training camp.

I see a CB combo of Poole, Daniels, Mitchell/Draft Pick, and Mitchell/Draft Pick.

Im still worried on 2 accounts...

1) Is he going to be as good as he was before the injury..?

2) Is he going to be able to prove that he can be a #1 or even a #2 CB in this league?

i heard he was almost alright to come back this season, he'll definatly be ready next season, he may not be as good as we expected though

Only time will tell. But have faith in him.

Poole was supposed to be a first rounder but knee injuries caused him to drop in the draft. He played pretty well for a rookie but a second knee injury could change that. I really hope he can come back to full health.

I think next year our secondary will be very good. I think our Dline will be stronger and our secondary will be upgraded and healthy. Our D should be able to step it up another notch.

I know one thing if Poole is starting in place of the absent Madison, we are gonna get burned. No way is Poole gonna play at the level of Madison this season. Possibly in time.

Actually it was his checkered past that dropped him in the draft. The fact that he was ousted from Boston College after stealing a computer. He went back to Junior College for a year before finally making his way to USC. He was actually looking to be a 1st/2nd round pick until February before the draft where he was arrested for a DUI. That's when everyone started knocking him down their boards because of maturity issues.

Dont forget his slow 40 when he was ill.

How will that alter our draft picks? He won't play another NFL game intill September. We won't be able to find out how good this guy is intill 5 months after the draft.

And you can't bank completely on workouts and practices in judging on how he is.

Then why not try and keep Sam, if we're going to need a replacement anyway? Plus, no matter how hard we try, we won't find the quality corner everyone desires any cheaper than what Sam will cost us. I'm hoping he reconsiders his reluctance to re-do his contract.
