at the end of last yr there was thoughts of activating him......i think he's 100% and ready to go.....will poole is one of the few good picks in the spielman wanny era...if he can come back healthy that will improve our secondary quite a bit.....this guy has a knack for being around the ball
 
Ah the obligatory bi-weekly "how's Will Poole's rehab going" thread.

It's going great, I just saw him at the grocery store, I recommended a really great cantaloupe, he said he's at 92%, will be ready in 43 days.

LOL , exactly.

Honestly, why do people continue to ask this question? No one here that we know of is on the medical staff or knows Will Poole, and if they did, 90% of the people wouldn't believe them anyway.
 
Hate to be a doubter, but Will Poole as been away from football in the NFL for 2 years due to injuries. What makes you all think he will come in and be the next Pat Surtain? He still has to pick up on the learning curve from actully playing in real NFL games and not practices or training camp. Am I missing something here?
 
yes. that would be quite huge if poole came back and he could be what he looked to be before he got hurt. what a boost thad give us
 
Seriously, the guy has been out of football for 2 years...by all means he could be the next Yatil Green (albeit he wasnt drafted in the first round). I dont think he will be ready to come in and be the major upgrade that we need him to be. We still need to add some talent at that position and cannot bank on him being an all-star when he returns....just my thoughts.

That is wrong. He played his whole rookie year, and he made some good plays. I would venture to say he was underutilized.

He got injured during a mini-camp this past season.
 
How exactly has he been away from football for 2 years?

He played the '04 season and missed the '06 season. He hasn't even been injured for a full year yet, as it happened in TC. He was injured in I think it was June of '05... how exactly is that 2 years?
 
My bad....nice research....you guys are quick...but i think the point made about him being underutilized is definitely true. Dont get me wrong...I hope he can be a dominate player for us, I just dont want to get our expectations so high at this point

I'm pretty sure you should check your facts first before posting. He had a solid rookie season, played in 15 games, he has NOT been away for 2 years.

Whats up with the Poole bashing today? Geez
