I thought Will Poole did a very good job in his first NFL game. He was pretty solid in coverage. I know most of us were saying that Poole was a steal when we took him, and he has so far proved that on the field. For a rookie, he was very impressive. I think this guy is going to be a solid player for us in the years to come.
 
I agree. Based on the times I saw Madison near Warrick, I have to think that he must have been part of a double on Johnson a lot of the game. Even if I'm wrong about that, the fact that the entire Bengals receiving corps were shut down to the extent they were speaks volumes about Poole's ability to contribute as a rookie in his second game making his first start.
 
Poole did awesome. That was one of the few good things that came out of this game, that and that hit of ZTs in the back field.

All i can do for the defense is raise my bottle of beer, and say well done boys, I am very proud!:cooldude:
 
Poole played admirably. The secondary, notwithstanding the last drive, played exteremely well. When two of your top three corners are gone and you still shut down a team's passing game you have to respect the effort.

I think all the defense have a big mouments, (made we need another Int or Fum) But Talyer play very good, Zach as usual, and I think Poole play very well in his firts start.... we lost Larry in the begin, and Dario Romero maybe a few plays, I also think that A Edwards play well too...
 
Poole played with a savy that is uncommon for a rookie cornerback. He was excellent in pass coverage and during run plays he was always around the ball. U cant ask for more then that from a rookie corner making his first NFL start
 
Finally something positive to talk about I think we have a good young corner for a long time.
 
I agree. Poole played really well. The secondary in general played well. There were numerous time when Palmer had time but couldnt find anyone open.

BTW, that last big completion to Johnson that killed us, was to wyverick(sp?) side.I am not saying its his fault. He went up to double team the shallow reciever and that is how Johnson found the open area.
