No news. Guess the next time we'll find out is just before the regular season when the coaches have to decide whether to put him on the PUP list or put him on IR. Right now he's taking up a roster spot whereas Chris Akins has been placed on IR, so all signs point to the coaches having some hope that Poole will come back halfway through the season to give us some much needed depth.
 
I'd rather have Poole sit this season and not risk damaging the knee further from coming back too soon. It's not like we will be in a playoff race.

the rehab time is about six months for that injury so he is out for the season

Not to mention, it usually takes another 6 or so months to get back to full speed.

Well he had the surgery in May. If he is put on the PUP at the beginning of the season, then in the best case scenario, he could be back. I'm wondering if Saban is holding out hope. If he wasn't, why wouldn't he have put him on IR already?
 
I think we'll wait. We may have two pro bowl corners on our squad by then (you never know) so we may not need him as bad as in a situation where we're dry on CBs, possibly more injuries and we're close to making a playoff spot
