Will Rivers get Waived or traded nex year?

id love this guy in Miami. I already see it that Bress will be the Chargers starter for years to come, plus this guy is grooming for 2 years and he is nfl ready wat u guys think? Does Saban know wat kind of player he is? Is he the reel deel i havent seen him play in college much anyone know wat style he has and who he can be compared too?

well from the standpoint of quarterbacks i dont nick being interested in Rivers but you just never know. i think reggie mcneal is a senior and would be a good qb . there was talk in the big 12 that brad smiths best chance in the nfl will be at receiver if so mayby drafting reggie mcneal and brad smith could help us . of course i think it would be safe to assume that we will draft cb in the first rd. yet its too early for this discusion so i will defer for another time.

He is the real deal> I watched him play in college at NCSU. He has great field vision, accuracy, arm strength and all the intagibles. He is also a high character guy.

I believe Dan spent about an hour talking to him at the senior bowl when he came out. I think he was very impressed with Philip. When he gets the chance, he is gonna be a star. I thought he was the best qb in last years draft, and he's definitely better than anyone coming out next year!

I think that if you can get Rivers for a 2nd or 3rd pick then it would be a great deal. I mean you are talking about pretty much the #2 pick of the draft below Eli Manning. Most people were saying that he was better than Eli also when the draft was about to start. I think you have to consider this option because getting a rookie QB next year we are talking about 2 or 3 years before he is REALLY ready.

I think Phillip would be game ready, from the day he gets here and after he learns the offense.

I would kill to see Rivers in a Miami uniform. I am not sure of what kind of cap complications would keep him in San Diego/out of Miami but if it is in any way possible I would be pissed if we didnt get him. I really cannot think of someone to compare him to. He is an extemely acurate pocket passer with great awareness in the pocket and down field. He is one of those quarterbacks that, if he stays on his feet, can carve up a defense

Helooo GUs cannot be our starter forever he is turning 89 soon and Sage And Feelley are not our answers at qb for the future and another note is that Rivers is a better Qb than this upcoming draft so i say Rivers. Rivers is way better than Leinaert Jacobs Leak that wat critics are saying so i do not understand y u say nooo and noo

Yea, he would be good and would def take him over a rookie besides Matt L but i dont see Saban trading away picks for him. As saban has said he is biulding this team through the draft and loves his picks so i dont know if he would do it

I dont remeber where I read it but someone was saying that the coaches in SD have been very dissipointed in how he has looked. I would be very wary of him. I would hat to have another AJ......Exept It would probably cost us a first rounder......

Hmm, I havnt heard anything about that. From what I saw in those few games last year and in the preseason, he is an absolute monster. Look, dont blow what I am saying out of proportion but if I had to look at all of last, this, and next years rookies and name which one could become the next great
quarterback, it would be Phillip Rivers by a long shot.

I watched him in college and he was a man among boys at South Carolina. He carried the team. He just won when he didn't have much talent around him. He does have a hitch in his delivery, that I would suppose is being worked on in SD, but he is a winner.

The problem is that I am not sure which way the Chargers will go..they actually could keep both, but Brees wants a long term contract and won't be happy with being tagged again. I think, if Brees has as good a year, the Bolts will have quite a turmoil on their hands. I also think, and may not be totally right on this, that there is some dissention between the GM and Marty on which guy to keep...contracturally, I would suppose the logical thing would be to dump Brees, but Marty is a Brees guy and the GM is a Rivers guy...going to be interesting...besides, I'm not much of a Brees fan, but he's certainly better than what we have...

I think it may have been a charger fan posting on this site. If LT 21 sees this could you please weigh in? I dont know if whoever said it knew what he was talking about or not, but I took note of it because I knew he might be avalible in trade after the year. As too all the rookies and who I would take, if I had a choice I take Manning.

Just curious, since you say you have never seen him play in college, how come all of a sudden he is better than all these guys and the future of our franchise?
