I have a job and I have to work nearly every Saturday. I have Sundays off and reserved for the Fins....

That being said - I don't really get to watch hardly any college football.

I remember seeing Cadillac Williams play - but I really didn't see any of Ronnie Brown in college. Some of my buddies tell me he was great - of which he must have been to be drafted # 2 overall.

However - what I've seen from his limited play in the last two games - makes me wonder -

Do you think he'll ever be as good as Ricky Williams?

he got 25 yards on 5 carries...why does everyone assume thats bad...20 carries = 100 yards at that pace. thats THE perfect number.

Impossible to say...although his college career was good...it can not touch Ricky's. But jeez...even if he is half as good as Ricky we will be in GREAT shape! :)

The answer is yes.
I would say either that or no. impossible to know. Ricky is a freak (in more ways than one). He is definately a talented runner. We have not seen enough of Ronnie to determine if he will be better. I hope he is.

There's no way to know. Ronnie seems to have the talent and the vision but runningback is a very dangerous position to play.

If he stays relatively injury free and keeps his head, he has a good shot at it.

Ronnie Brown has the talent and skills to have a better career than Ricky

I just hope Ronnie can improve his vision( it not bad just not great at the moment)and
Not take on so many hits (ronnie seem to like to run over every def'er he encounter

Ronnie 2 word (spin moves )
Great rb knows how to min. the hits

I'd say he's a lock to be better in the first 4 games.

before you reply, you really gotta remember just how good ricky williams was, and can be again...

wouldn't it be nice if #34 returned to form and Ronnie turned out to be as good..bruising backfeild

That would be awesome :rocker: . Ronnie has the attitude and skills to be real good if he stays healthy.

Very doubtful. Ricky had a record-breaking college career. He is still a top-5 back in the NFL and had the sheer talent, physical attributes and instincts to be one the all-time greats if not for circumstances (going to the Saints) and his own head.
Can you imagine if he hadn't smoked weed and had been drafted by, say, Pittsburg or Denver? He'd already be climbing the all-time rushing list.
People seem to forget he gained over 3000 yards in just 2 seasons behind a not-exactly-star-studded OL.

He has not had to endure the physical abuse the Ricky has. Ricky was a starter in college and the entire time he was in the NFL. Ronnie was lucky enough to split his snaps throughout his college career and will get to do the same for the beginning of his pro career. Having sustained half the abuse that Ricky had to endured in college, and having the pleasure of running with Rick for the first couple year he's in the pros, Ronnie should end up with the better career.
