The dreaded Rebuild has been avoided like the plague by Ross so far, as it will hurt ticket sales, etc. Will that finally change?

It is hard to say what will take place in the FO. Tannenbaum is not going anywhere but, hard to say if the same is true for Hickey and all those he hired in personnel, as well as the draft analysts.

Regardless, Our team will have a new HC, a new OC, a new DC, and all the new coaches they will bring in with them. This alone is really rebuilding.

Will they want a WCO, ZBS or something different? Will they want a 3-4 or a 4-3? Rest assured they will want "their kind of players" which we unlikely have.

So, will Ross admit to it or, sugar coat it to saying he is looking for a playoff team?

I think this, he'll never admit to a rebuild, partially because I don't even think he grasps the concept - he certainly has no idea how to build a winning football team. If he ever truly "got it", he'd understand what a pile of **** he has in this franchise currently, and just how much needs to be changed.

Nope, I'm willing to bet it will be more half measures all around this coming offseason....

He should use the R word as in "I've decided to Resign and sell the team"

At this point,

I almost don't care what he does

as long as I don't have to ever again see him give a press conference :d-day:

This might sound crazy but I truly don't think we're too far off... The biggest thing we're missing is adequate coaching and direction and once we get that we are on the right path. This team has a lot of talent, problem is the places we are weak are filled with guys who should be back ups at best. Our weaknesses plus the fact that we have the worst coaching staff in all of football was hard to cover up for...

I mean honestly, was there a worse coaching staff in a of football? Not only did Joe not bring much of an edge intellectually, he wasn't a motivator either. Guys didnt like him. Bill Lazor regressed as a playcaller and I think the rest of the league has caught up to the Chip Kelly/Bill Lazor system. Kevin Coyle was a stubborn bastard and guys didn't like him or his system. We need a coach who's going to get the best out of Tannehill (Hue Jackson, Mike Shanahan, Sean Payton. And we need to hit on our draft picks this year, no red shirt seasons for our first three picks at least. We need guys making an immediate impact. Then I'd target Brandon Brooks, Eric Berry, Brandon Marshall, Jason Pierre Paul. The teams we have to compete against for a wildcard berth aren't light years ahead of us. We can compete as early as next season and it all starts with bringing in the right head coach

No love, even remotely, for Ross. However, understand that what he chooses to do has EVERYTHING to do with what our team will do in keeping our own players, FA, and the draft.

IMO, we have had to deal with 4th and 5th best choices available in filling our openings in the FO, as well as coaches, since Ross has owned the team. I do not see that changing, and even less so with Tannenbaum.

I agree, I think they have some good pieces,

with a good coach, even with Campbell they can move forward & improve

the biggest problem I see

is that the timeline for Ross & T-bomb will ALWAYS be shorter than the actual needed time that a good coach will need

they will always be meddling & screwing up what the cook is trying to work on in the kitchen

I really don't get the hate for Stephen Ross. The guy wants this to be a first class organization. He's opened his wallet without hesitation going after prized free agent acquisitions and trying to improve the team. He hasnt been succesful as of yet, but that's what you want out of your owner - one that doesn't pinch pennies trying to improve the club. Ross' biggest problem has been some pretty bad hires when it comes to his Head Coaches. He has an opportunity to get it right this off-season and I'm hoping he lands the right coach and we can start heading in the right direction...

Crazy thing is, people were singing Ross' praises when he ponied up the money to sign Suh this off-season. A lot of us thought we had the team to compete. Even though things didnt pan out, making some solid moves this off-season will put us in position to compete next season

I hate Ross because he rewards medicority for no reason. He continually rewards people for no reason to run his team. He has been owner since 2009 and its no coincidence that we havent had a winning season since he became majority owner.
Big deal he opened his wallet, most nfl teams open their wallet, there are very few teams in the nfl that dont actually spend a great majority of their cap, this isnt baseball. Who are these owners currently in the nfl that dont spend money?

Need to understand that with the salary cap Ross can spend no more than all of the other 31 owners, and is taking nothing out of his pocket for Suh or any other FA. He has nothing to do with the overall money spent on contracts

Sell the team Ross you are the most incompetent owner in dolphin history.
We havent had but three owners but you are by far the worst

Wayne Huizenga was a good owner & Joe Robby

they both had enough sense to let the GM & coaches who they are PAYING

coach & manage the team and do the press conferences.

Ross is way too much like Jerry Jones for my taste.

I can't stand the clueless, mr Magoo look on his face. He is a horrid owner. Please sell. Please.
