Will RT be in the Top 100 players for 2014?

Give NYJunc a break, he only has a few more months left that he can try to define Ryan Tannehill's career by one or two games and he has to regurgitate the same BS at every opportunity....its going to kill him when he can't use the 2nd Jet game of last year as the defining moment of a young developing quarterbacks career.

Fair?...Keep telling yourself that pal.

I don't want this thread to spiral out of control, some people just can't handle an opposing view. I will bow out of this thread to prevent it from going where I see it going.

Problem is your not consistent, you hate stats....unless they make your point. You hate talking about playing that played bad or missing from a game that might have contributed to the player being talked about failing...unless it's your player.

You believe you make fair opinionated comments while being as neutral as possible, but they are 100%, all the time based from a Jets fan, even when you give a compliment, you more times then not will somewhere make sure to throw a backhanded compliment that will make your compliment worthless.

"I believe Ryan can be a good QB in the future" ........ "Tannehill has not shown me anything the last few years he has started."

:lol2: Oh, the irony ...

He doesn't want this thread to spiral out of control?

This is either a clever trick or someone else is using his screen name.:err:

in the biggest game Miami has seen in 5 years our QB badly outplayed the anointed one and knocked you out of playoff contention. That was w/ no weapons, now he'll have some. I can sense the fear.

Dude...no one is scared of this guy, or his bizarre looking face:

the main reason you missed was b/c of the QB. The OL was not nearly as bad as you guys claim. It wasn't good but it was mediocre. The 2nd half of the year it was pretty good, plays were there to be made and they weren't made. would they have been made w/ a better OL? maybe, but you had the ability to make the playoffs if you got better QB play. I have said it many times, Wilson was sacked at a higher rate than Tannehill. Back in '85 Ken O'Brien was sacked more times and at a higher rate(sacked 62 times in 100 less attempts) and he led us to 11 wins and a won the passing title. we had a better ground game but our QB took a lot of hits. Ryan kind of reminds me of Ken w/o the great deep ball ability. it wasn't all on Ryan but he had the ability to get you to postseason, the D was more than good enough and kept you in a lot of games. Ryan did not step up like he could have. Let me say this again- I am not saying Ryan sucks or that he won't get a lot better I am saying he failed in 2013. I expect he will be better, as an opposing fan he worries me and I think that is a pretty good compliment but he didn't do enough in 2013 and too many excuses were made for him.

The QB didn't play well the last 2 games when we had a chance to make the playoffs. I agree with that. The Ol wasn't good for nearly the entire year. Were there plays Ryan could have made to win more games to get us in the playoffs? Sure, but that doesn't make him the main reason we didn't make it.

I saw every snap of every game. Ryan was a part of the reason, but far from the main one. It doesn't really matter if you feel he was the main reason or not. It matters what he does this year.

If he improves and takes the next step, I'll say a big part of it was because of the improved Oline, and he could have done it last year with a better line. You will disagree and say Ryan is a different QB than he was last year. It is something that neither of us will ever know for sure.

It won't matter to me what the real reason is. All I care about is winning more games and making the playoffs. I think an improved Oline will help us do that. However, there is always some other weakness that seems to pop up each year, so we will see.

outcoached and outplayed. I can't worry about how others perceive me, I am always fair. I tend to get bashed b/c I speak honestly and the honest opinions aren't always rosy for you guys but I am fair. You are all free to disagree, I'd prefer if folks actually tried to engage in civil discussions rather than just bash me but that is the way it goes sometimes. I have tried to stay out of these discussions lately b/c of it. This reminds of me when I bashed the Culpepper signing and I was bashed a million times worse than now and in the end I proved to be right. I never crowed, I took the barbs and moved on. I will dot he same here if I am right and if I am wrong I will be back to tip my cap to Ryan.

Right about what? You've already said you expect him to be better next year, so what exactly is your thoughts on Tannehill?

Of course he is and here's why:

1. He's a QB
2. He's one of the top 20 QBs in the league
3. If you threw all players in a pot and then had a draft, you can bet that EVERY team without exception would start by picking a QB first.
4. Once 20 or so QBs were off the board, there would be even MORE pressure to pick a QB or you'd be totally screwed.
5. RT would be one of the top 30 players picked.

You can argue if others are "better", but you can't argue that he is one of the 30 most "valuable" players in the league. If you don't get that, then you don't know.
