What are your thoughts? There was alot of dissent among the Dolphin fanbase midseason with Linehan's playcalling, but once he moved down, it seemed the offense began to click..

Do you think Linehan is seasoned enough to become a good NFL HC?

i'd say its 50/50.

he might, and he might not.

he will, or he wont.

no seriously, its all a crap shoot man. look at these teams gambling on cats...detroit w/ marichacony, the jets with magjini, and why is norv still in the league.. yes, he can (somewhat) execute a devious game plan, but HEY SUESS, the bama been with like 10 teams, had two chances as HC, and failed terribly.
so, to sum it up.

he could, or maybe he cant.

I give him a conditional yes. I think he will definitely succeed if he can find a good DC. I think Linehan with Bates as a DC would be a home run staff that would really work well with their personnel, too.

I have mixed feeling on how he will do. He doesn't game plan well and adjust well through the game. Those are the most important things to a HC and you are pretty much screwed if you don't have them. I don't expect for the Rams to win more then 6 games because Leinhan will struggle quite a bit in his first year. As the season goes on, he should be smarter at adjusting and game planning for a game.

I think so, I don't know if will be anytime soon but he's got a good O mind. Maybe he'll get Capers to join the Rams.

With the offensive weapons that the Rams have I think he will be, if Bulger stays healthy. I've been a big Linehan supporter, but I don't know if firing Martz and then bringing in Linehan is a smart move. I probably would've gone with a DC from another team if I were running the Rams.

I wasnt really impressed with him here. He did ok but his reluctance to run cost us a few games. I don't care about him or have some tye of sentimetal love for him.

Damn, it wouldn't be a reach, to anticipate Bagget leaving with him, to then offer up the full latitude of the defensive side to Capers!

If Dom, had a problem with the numerous chefs in our soup kitchen, he'd be master of his domain in Linehans. :fire:

#!!%$'in Rams. When Georgia Frontiere took over that team, I hated em in LA. When they moved, I hated em in St Louis. And when they walk off with what little offense weve finally been able to put together, I'll hate em even more.

Im thinking Linehan isnt polished enough to be a HC at the NFl level right now. Another season or two as OC would have been ideal. Its a rushed hiring by the rams cause there's really nothing else out there and whatever else is out there is there for a reason. In addition, all these teams looking for coaches really need the advantage of getting their organizations in order now as opposed to aiting for the playoffs to finish and hiring someone off one of those staffs cause everyday that goes by is that much closer to the draft and next season.

What I wonder is if Linehan is so enamoured with Frerotte that he'll end up out there teaching Bulger and Fitzpatrick the offense as a sort of player/coach backup QB hybrid. I cannot imagine that would mean trading for Frerotte, but maybe that just means I'm not creative enough.
