As one person has already commented about how ESPN likes to neglect the Dolphins. One thing i do think that goes unnoticed is that the coach also gets dissed as well. Throughtout the off season i have seen countless time where Sparano and Ireland get no credit which of course goes to TUNA instead. My question is will Tony Sparano ever get his due as a coach or is he destined to be in the shadow of Parcells forever? Personally i think their's a reason that Parcells isn't coaching anymore and it's because he dosen't have it in him to do so.

The day that fans stop calling him "Sporano" is when he will finally get credit lol. I guess that's never going to happen then?

When parcells leaves he will. Also if they get past the first round or two of the playoffs and the media has nothing else to talk about other than a deep dive into the team and its coach.

Sparano doesn't strike me as a real big ego guy, I don't think he's too worried about the national media giving him respect. As long as he keeps putting winning football teams on the field, he'll be fine.

He'll get respect when he fields a consistent winner.

Just like EVERY OTHER COACH IN THE LEAGUE!!! There is no anti-Fin bias. Get over it!

I have seen many times when they praise him on ESPN and NFL Network. But they ignore the Dolphins that I can tell you like when they put the highlights of the carolina game all they showed was D Williams running to the TD...

In due time with consistency he will get respect. Watching Monday night it was funny how ESPN was all over Cam Cameron like he was some Offensive guru when in reality is is just plain old OFFENSIVE!!!!!

With all due respect... (sorry had to say that) There is no anti-dolphin bias.. That is something I will agree to.. but they seem to enjoy ignoring our team..

Since Shula left the team, they have pretty much been a bottom feeding team, until we can prove other wise, the media will continue to think of us that way.. Respect is earned, not given away and one year removed from a 1-15 season doesnt make us automatic contenders..

I think it's a legitimate point that way too many of these talking idiots talk about Bill Parcells as if he makes every decision on the team. More and more as this second season comes on, it's becoming obvious that Sparano runs this team and makes all of the decisions. Parcells is just like a grandfather figure at this point that still likes to hit the field and give players pointers, coaching them up, etc.

I doubt Sparano cares nearly as much about it as we do.

I've heard Sparano get praise from various media types. It's not rearly as big a deal as people make it out to be.

not until he goes gangster.

I'm always impressed with Tony's genuine hard work ethic. He lives his job. We're fortunate to have Sparano. He's progressing into a solid NFL coach and an organizational leader.

AFC East Champions. All the respect you need. There just isn't any big news coming out of camp. I for one am very happy we aren't in the national spotlight. Because usually it for bad news. The Jet's have Sanchez, the Bills Owens, and the Pats the return of Brady.. and us.. well business as usual.

Just fine with me, because as long as the PLAYERS respect him.. thats all that matters.

Probably not until we either win a Super Bowl or he goes to another team and wins without Parcells.

I agree with others that I don't think the media's adulation is what drives him and he is perfectly content with the respect he gets from his players and the winning.
