will te holmes make the team?

I am wondering how good of a chance does te holmes have of making the roster and the other te from missouri who's name escapes me . Does holmes have the talent to surpass donald lee ? if lee stays i just hope he doen't commit those numerous infractions like last year.

I think Alex Holmes has a pretty good chance of making the roster. Donald Lee has talent, but his propensity for costly mental mistakes and fumbling make him no lock as Randy's backup. In some ways, Holmes is comparable to the Vikings' Jim Kleinsasser. Linehan could use him as an H Back as he used Kleinsasser in Minnesota.

My gut feeling is that if Alex Holmes has a decent camp, he will beat out Donald Lee for the 2nd TE position.

There are scouts that says that Holmes is ranked very high in this years draft class at blocking. If he can show he can run good routes and catches the ball well, then i am sure that he could beat out Lee at being #2.
