Just a quick question for anyone that feels like talking about this....TE Teyo Johnson was signed in January...I was just curious if anyone thinks if he will stay on the roster....and if he's an upgrade from Lorenzo Diamond? Also while I'm on the TE topic, anyone think Alex Holmes will be replaced by someone else or will be stay on the roster too? Not sure if its too early to say just thought i'd throw it out there. :)

Didn't Teyo start for awhile?

Sometimes 2 starters in one particular position is a bad thing.

Right now, I'd say yes. McMichael, Holmes, Teyo. Of course everything could change if we add someone to that mix.

Or another H-Back for that matter.

Who knows if we'll use an H-Back though? The offensive terminology from Linehan's offense has stayed the same, but the general style, tendencies, and personnel molds might change.

As far as I know, in Pittsburgh and Buffalo Mularkey used either a 2nd TE or a Fullback.

I think he can as of right now. Johnson is small enough to where he can be a big WR threat in the endzone for us. I still think we need to sign another TE to compete with Johnson and Holes for #2 spot.

I like mcMike, and Holmes. Teyo will fill a roster spot. Myabe look for undrafted FA for training camps, then let them battle it out

Teyo got speed he's faster than mcmichael thats for sure

i think we should more him out to wide reciever i heard hes 2 small for tight end plus a good blocking reciever really helps the running game and wears out the corner covering them

I think Teyo will be the #2 TE next year. We may add someone else though

McMichael and Teyo in two tight-end sets would be deadly. Teyo is VERY similar to McMichael, and is a hell of a threat vs. linebackers and safties.

I think that Teyo Johnson lasts through training camp and he is the reason why we released Lorenzo Diamond. I think McMichael, Johnson, and Holmes will be our TE's next season.

I like the idea of teyo playing in the slot, making a nickle back cover him or taking the SS out of the box. Either would open up the offense.

However, keep in mind that despite his physical talent he was cut and that suggests "baggage" of some sort
