I mean I could be wrong but is this the 1st time that miami goes to the 3-4 fulltime not hybrid!!

I think 3-4 is successful but ONLY and ONLY if you have speedy quality Linebackers....

Steelers run the 3-4 and their LB core consists of James Harrison, JAmes Farrior, Lamar Woodley, and Larry Foote

to add to that you also need defensive line man that cold hold their areas, and maintain the offensive line to keep them linebackers running more freely.

Also you need a really good 3 man defensive front. I don't think miami has the personnel for this at this time. It takes awhile to transition from 4-3 to 3-4 and I don't think we're there yet.

I really like the hybrid style of a 4-3 and 3-4, because of these different offensive formations such as the I or a shutgun play, but yeah it will take awhile to switch to a 3-4 especially with us changing personal and systems every year

I think the most important thing is that we get a great system not a need of great players. This is what NEngland, Indy, and Pitts has, every offseason they lose F/A's and they just plug in the next guy.Pittsburgh spitts out LB's annually and always seems to never miss a beat. Then and only then you can splurge on some high(over)priced F/A's to separate away from the pack.It certainly helps having a franchise QB but I personally do not believe Ben R. is a great QB by any means, he's more solid then great.

Even just a consistent system, if not even great , would be better. Heck fans on this site that watch every game don't know what the system is. 3-4 Hybrid 4-3. The dolphins need a consistent government so to speak. To much change up top, too hard to follow.

But you are right. Look at players like TO and MOSS. I've always liked them but the have a hell of a time in the wrong system or "government".
