With the 8 game suspension on McDonald will the league schedule both of our games with the Patriots in the first 8 weeks?
 
Well if we are counting on him to put us over the top agains Brady and the Pats, we are already screwed.

Doubt it.. they like to tee us up for NE in the season's last few games to smooth their cheat-worthy path to the postseason
 
Usually we play the second game with them late in the season so that will probably continue.
 
I'm sorry, I haven't taken much interest in the TJ McDonald suspension until he signed with Miami. Did he test positive to performance enhancing or substance abuse? Are there any strong rumors around re the nature of the substance? 8 game suspension for a first time offense seems pretty tough. What am I missing?
 
I think it will be great to a fresh player in the defensive backfield late in the year. It will be interesting how the schedule comes out. could be motivation for the team. I just hope he gets his life in order and appreciate the opportunity he has with the Dolphins. Hopefully they put him with a mentor.

Ummm, pretty sure calculating the schedules is a year round complicated process that in no way could be manipulated to favor or hinder any particular team at this late date (two to three weeks prior to release), let alone because of something as infinitesimally minor in the grand scheme of things as the signing of a free agent safety. But the tin foil is in the bottom cabinet on the left. For hat making.
 
He isn't Ronnie Lott. Not that much of an impact player. Chill bro
 
IMO, If you were to ask me whether I'd rather play NE twice in the first 8 weeks and not have McDonald versus the cold weather game in NE we seem to get most years at the end of the year - I'll take the first choice.
 
First way to stop feeling like you're being screwed is to stop thinking that you are, and blaming
your problems on other people.

News of the suspension became public earlier this week during McDonald's free-agent visit with the Dolphins. The NFL found that McDonald violated its substance abuse policy after an incident in May in which he was suspected of driving under the influence of prescription drugs. McDonald pleaded no contest to a lesser charge in January.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the league suspended McDonald for the first eight games of the upcoming campaign in response to his arrest on DUI and drug charges from May of last year.

Although the 8 games seems a little much on the surface? Maybe we dont have all details and his agent does not want to appeal. Yup may be a little more we just don't know about..
