I'm trying to put the pieces together to this overly convoluted 2006/2007 broadcast puzzle. Supposedly, the NFL Network is showing the Thanksgiving games (ours included). Is that in addition to Fox and CBS? Or, is that exclusive? I can't imagine that it would be exclusively on NFL Network as not even every cable provider carries it (mine doesn't).

Any one have a link to something that tells us definitively?

That would be a sad day. It's bad enough ESPN is the new home of MNF. :shakeno:

It should be in addition to Fox and CBS. They are national games, and they have always been carried by the Fox and CBS. I can't even imagine those stations losing out on the ratings/publicity/stuff that would be brought by those games.

I think ESPN covering MNF will be a good thing. Albeit the commentary has a tendency to suck, they provide good replays and camera angles. And quite frankly, I was getting tired of John Madden's commentary.

No the only game that NFL net will show on Thanksgiving is the Donkeys and Chefs that night. Every week after that they will broadcast at least one game a week I beleive most will be on Thurs and Sats.

I know there was a thread about this a while back... I think that the LATE game will be the one that is solely on NFL network. And I do not believe that was the phins game.

ESPN sux IMO and the only football shows they have worth a sh** is NFL Primetime and College gameday. Their broadcasting always sucks because of their egotistical idiots think they know it all failures in coaching and playing that can't do anything besides give ignorant opinions. Maybe they could put Berman and Jackson with Herb and Corso in the same booth and then they might have a good show.

That's what I remember as well.

I agree that change is good (especially from Madden), but to pay for MNF now is just sad. Especially since so much of the country is still not wired for cable.

We don't have our Thanksgiving Day game on NFL Network, thats the Broncos/Chiefs.

Ours is the first one up, on CBS

And even if they were on NFL Network, we would get a simulcast in our local market.

You must have never watched ESPNs previous NFL coverage. At least Madden talks about football and the players. ESPN guys talk about what they are eating after the game or cry about LT breaking that POS Theismans leg or 1,000 more unfootball related topics during the entire football game. ESPN SUX SUX SUX.

That's pretty funny bro, and your right. I just can't take Madden when he starts his on-air love affairs with his favorite players. The best game I ever saw on TV was years ago during the 10ft. dish days. I found a feed that had the game with no announcers, just the crowd noise.

I personnally would much rather have Madden rave on one player that to hear the ESPN idiots though. Thats just me and I hope I'm wrong about their coverage. Most ESPN Sunday night games they had I muted myself.
