Will Wanny Fight?

I agree with jbond, there are two types of people. Those who let their emotions out and those who keep them in. One is not always the best choice. There are plenty of successful coaches who get performance from their players without yelling at them. But that being said, Wannstedt doesnt do anything as far as I can tell. He had a solid 2 months to get an oline together, and this is what we got. He cant come up with any orginal ideas, and he relies soley on running on 1st and 2nd and passing on third. That is a tough gameplan to plan for. As far as schemeing, I cant tell if he does anything. I cant believe at one point in time I actually stuck up for this clown.

I've generally supported DW over the years and have even challenged people (fiedler "haters" although I know he's not the best) to show how Jay lost more games then our Defense or ST did last year....which no one did. He has generally done a good job of coaching and putting our players in position to win. Unfortunately, our D is inconsistent (at least our O was consistently avg/below avg), O players miss key blocks (i.e. Ricky missing the chip against freeney at the end of the game, McMichael not picking up a blitz by the Pats twice, etc.). DW can only do so much.

All that and more said.......DW has greatly lost my faith this offseason. If he wanted Feeley to start.....give him full reps in the offseason. Determine who your Oline will be based upon as much experience and knowledge you have and give them full reps. As if he needed more time to determine if Whitley/Yates/German was better then the other after a year with them? Our O is in total disarray and (if I had to put a % on it) I'd say it's roughly 75% of DWs fault for not properly preparing during the offseason. 11 new starters is one thing....it's another when you haven't picked who's starting at WR, RG, RT, RB, QB etc. until the week before the season begins....No full reps in the offseason = high learning curve when it counts and that is what we are seeing now.

Dave is a nice guy - we all know where they finish. I agree, he needs fire and to kick butt, not pat on the back and hope to 'get this thing turned around'.

HE MUST GO NOW. I've said it before; I would have canned him last year the day after the Tennessee game. He is not a head coach - he is a defensive assistant/coordinator at best. Please have him gone soon, wayne.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dave at a SB party when Tampa/Oak played. This was when we lost to NE up there after being ahead 10 pts with 3 minutes to play......ouch. still hurts a lot. anyway. asked him about the end of the game and his reaction was dispassionate and 'whatever'. he said how the game was so strange and it was a bad day. maybe it wouldn't have been for a real head coach; somebody who is not way over their head.

If your boss tells you you're fired in a normal tone of voice or by yelling at you that you're fired....does it make a difference in the end result for you? One just makes you madder at that individual is all. DW may not be a screamer but being one doesn't make you a good head coach.
This is FOOTBALL, buddy! Not an office. In this game, you either perform and do your job, or you get benched. Teams respond to discipline. If your not playing the way you should be, a little vocal motivation really helps them out...Need to show your players that you mean business. YOu do your job, or you can GO SIT DOWN!!!:fire:

Last year, New ENgland, in the snow....From the 1 or 2....FIedler throws a beautiful spiral RIGHT into the hands of Bruschi which he dances into the endzone like he just got the best free gift he's ever received...DOlphins LOSE.
If it weren't for the D, it wouldn't have even been close.
