With the quick game coming up, I'm thinking Sparano goes covert and doesn't let out Ronnie's real status until game day. If Carolina knows Ronnie is out, they may not spend as much time preparing for the Wildcat as they otherwise would.

I'm not real clear on the rules in this regard. How opaque can he make the status of a player until game day?

Ronnie will not be playing, it isn't a secret. Anyone who's had a sprained ankle knows this. 4 days after the injury you won't be doing much physical activity let alone being a RB in the NFL. The 2nd and 3rd days post injury are worse than the first due to muscles/tendons/ligaments tightening up and swelling setting in. I doubt he is even back for the Bills game.

im kinda really pissed because im gonna be at the carolina game and i really wanted to see ronnie run hope he gets back soon and we can still play good football thursday

I think the NFL requires you to list injuries before the game starts, because of teams like the Patriots who always try to hide their injuries....I think they had Brady listed as being injured for two straight years which is total BS. I would just say Ronnie has a sprained ankle and is questionable. I would sit Ronnie this week and hope for the best.

idk if you guys realize this, but some sprained ankle injuries are fine a couple days later. It depends on where in the ankle the severity is, and how severe that spot is. Most likely he'll miss thursday, but it is not an absolute until they release the tests today. I'm not expecting him back, but I'm hoping for the best. We may see more of Pat White this Thursday... sigh.

dont you think it would be better to rest it than have him re injure it? come on wheres your head at.

We are going to break out the Wild Pat and the Panthers are going to be shocked and amazed.

What i am saying is that I hope he is healthy enough to play. If it is severe enough, which it MOST likely is, that he would make it worse, then of course he should sit!

let me reiterate , ronnie brown has a 0% chance of playing. there is no way sparano takes any chance whatsoever of hurting ronnie brown in a game that means nothing.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that the Dolphins are "worried" about a foot injury that Ronnie Brown suffered in Sunday's win over Tampa.
Glazer's report indicates that Brown has two injuries -- one to his ankle and one to his foot. He definitely won't play Thursday at Carolina, but his status beyond that is completely up in the air. A mid-foot sprain could cost Brown several games. Ricky Williams is suddenly an every-week RB2 in fantasy.

I'll tell you what - if they keep trying to run the option with him he is going to be getting carried off the field. Let's hope they have some pass plays he can actually hit so we can keep the safeties back a bit.

I still say if you line Henne up consistently with 3 WR's he will make plays. The kid has a gun. Taking him out has to be so tough to keep a rhythm. Hopefully Bess got his confidence back and Camarillo looks like Welker again. If only we had a true #1 speed guy that could not only stretch the field but catch the ball.

crap! I guess, at least we get to see what Ricky can do.

The only good thing to come out of this is perhaps it allows the Dolphins to use play action more while running the ball out of normal formations. Something I wanted them to do with Ronnie healthy. We need to keep Henne in there and help him out with play action and on obvious passing downs we need to go shot gun instead of this 2 te garbage that never works on 3rd and long.
