Will we see a lot of Roth next year?

I just read up on him out of curiousity. I didn't know he was freaking crazy.

"Roth is a colorful character who plays the game as if he is on a "search and destroy" mission. He is the source of a campus urban legend, as many Hawkeyes talk of the time Roth challenged and cleared out an entire bar in a fight."

He also is one tough dude.

"2004 -- Suffered a left arm contusion on the first play of the Capital One Bowl matchup vs. Louisiana State. When the arm started to swell, the coaches urged him to leave the field to get it examined, Roth merely said, "I'm not coming out for this."

Will he be a big player for this team?

Also how about Manuel Wright? Can he right the ship and get his weight where it needs to be a kick some ***?
 
I think we will be seeing a lot of roth this year im tellin you this saban character really knows how to draft i wouldnt be suprised if brown roth and daniels are all pro bowlers within the next 5 years
 
You don't have to call me a homer. Ill be the first to tell you I am! Roth is an absolute animal. I knew it would take him time to adjust to the NFL game, but when he does, watch out. This Greenway character has the same "search and destroy" mentality, and is a student of the game. He is a ROLB and putting him behind Roth would be INSANE!:evil:
 
i looked him up after we drafted him and he appeared to be a beast... then watching him in a dolphins uniform was disappointing.. he just looked slow with a lack of moves.. i hope he gets better becuz he was a 2nd round pick and i hope it wasnt a waste
 
I think we will see far MORE roth this year, but I wouldnt say we will see a LOT of him

His 3rd year will be his breakout year IMO

We will see more of him this season, no doubt. The main reason Roth was never really on the field in 2005 was because he had Taylor, Carter and Bowens in front of him. Those three are very good NFL ends and it would be hard for any rookie to get playing time when those guys are on the team. It wasn't really that he wasn't good enough to play, he just wasn't as good as the veterans.

Obviously those guys won't be around forever, so Roth will slowly get more playing time.


As for Wright, he seems to be coming around nicely. He had a good first start againts the Bills(Sacked Losman). With a full NFL offseason, and having a year already of experience he will only improve. Don't foget, Wright was a year younger then all rookies last season.
 
Crowder, Daniels, Brown, Roth + a whole new Saban draft coming up , man i can barely keep my pants on. We are going to be very scary this year and extremely terrifying the year after that. Man I can't wait for the season to start again. Who's with me?
 
i thought roth had a pretty good year he was just overshadowed by the great defensive line play up front we need to resign everybody on that line..

Gotta agree, it's been a lot of fun watching Greenway and Hodge the last couple of years and if one of them ended up a Dolphin that would be awesome. If Miami can't get Greenway and is looking for a LB Hodge would be a another great get in 2nd or 3rd round.
