I'm worried that, for reasons totally out of his control, Philbin may now take the blame if Manning signs elsewhere.

I'm sure most people will say no....but if Ross or Ireland were in the meeting they would surely get blamed. Perhaps they're smart staying away...

No he can only do so much, he'll do his best I'm sure. If we don't get him it's still been a good off season and I'm ready for the season to start.

This is a joke, do you really expect Philbin to seal the deal with Manning at an "undisclosed location" All this is is a courtesy meet and greet to tell Philbin thanks but no thanks...

I don't think he'll get the blame if Manning doesn't sign, but I think he will get all the credit if he does!
