Will you blame Philbin if he's unable to seal the deal?

I won't blame him. However, if you don't blame him, how could you blame Ross and Ireland if they were the ones meeting with him? Can't have it both ways.

LOL hell no he can't. This is just a meeting to shut everyone up...This meeting is a joke

I don't think he'll get the blame if Manning doesn't sign, but I think he will get all the credit if he does!
Hard to say if Manning is giving Miami a fair shot, at this point, but also why would he waste his time if he's not interested?

His visits to DEN and ARZ, he obviously spent the far majority of the 6 and 6.5 hours with them talking football with their HC and OC. Why should that be any different for the Miami Dolphins and the Titans.

Manning is taking charge, and is letting Ross know how he expects his new franchise the Miami Dolphins will be run. If Ross was smart he'd take the lesson with a smile.

Really, what do you think Manning did in ARZ and DEN the 6 and 6.5 hours he was there, talk about what colors he wanted his locker to be?

Come on man!

no, not at all. I feel as if we now have a better shot at landing him just by leaving the two idiots upstairs.

i guess i'm the only one who thinks it would be really odd if peyton only met with philbin and didn't meet with ireland and ross...i mean theres got to be a reason that wouldn't happen...

u cant blame Philbin if we dont get him.... I think its a courtesy meeting so peyton can show face and just say that he meet us and it didnt work for him. If he was interested he would be doing what he did with Denver and the Cards and spend the whole day talking with our guys not 2 hours at some hotel lobby or some ****. It might just be something to drive up the price tag for the other teams but i think we have like a 5% change to get him. Might as well get ready for Flynn or Moore. They should meet with him talk football and if he doesnt say im taking my talents to south beach after the meeting they have to say thanks for the shot. Flynn here we come

I won't blame him.

It just seems like for whatever reason, we're not as high on his list as Arizona and Denver. I know many people have speculated that it's Ross/Ireland/or even Marshall, but Manning is the only one that knows.

I'm hoping Philbin can seal the deal. He's gotten a lot of praise for his people skills, so I'm hoping he can convince Manning this is the place to be.

Nope. it's obvious imo that Manning's just giving Joe 'lip service'; he'll speak with the coach, but the owner & gm aren't welcome? C'mon mann-ing! don't do us no favor 'k. join up or f off, but stop playing us for sissies.

I'm sure most people will say no....but if Ross or Ireland were in the meeting they would surely get blamed. Perhaps they're smart staying away...
Manning requested the coach only meeting.

This is a joke, do you really expect Philbin to seal the deal with Manning at an "undisclosed location" All this is is a courtesy meet and greet to tell Philbin thanks but no thanks...
I agree, Payme does not want his condo egged and piss of his pal Dan. Nothing but lip service. He is quite the politico.

When he went to ARZ and DEN he didn't go to meet front office ppl within those teams. Reporters can say Manning gives a **** if Elway was or wasn't the GM, it still doesn't make it true. He went to talk to the football guys that he will spend day in day out with for the next 3-5 years. The other stuff, like showing him where the parking lot is, what color the bathroom walls are is simply for those teams to feel good, and for Manning to apply pressure on the Phins.

Condon is his agent, and Manning would be a fool to not allow that man to earn his money, and do what he does best. Increase market value for the players he represents. There's a reason why Manning hired him.

Manning knows what options the Phins, Broncos, Titans and Cardinals have in FA and the draft better than they do. You can bank on that. Why waste your time with ppl like that? After all if you sign with any of those teams, it's understood, Manning has to approve it, or it won't happen. The GM the moment Manning signs for w/e team, is nothing more than a NFL scout.

Not at all. Manning and Philbin are two smart football guys. If it aint a fit, it aint a fit, no sense in forcing varying offensive philosophies upon one another, would make for a tumultuous season to say the least. We just move to plan B, Flynn, and then plan C, draft. But if we end up with Moore after all that was available this offseason, then the flippers come off.

No I won't blame Philbin. I think Manning is just as serious with us as he is with any team he meets with. Listen up he is Peyton FREAKIN Manning, he doesn't owe us a "courtesy call" or anything of the sort, if he is meeting with us or any other team its because he wants to. It's not to "drive up the price" or any other non sense, he is trying to figure out where he wants to play, the best fit for him,not all this high school drama. In the end he will pick the team he feels most comfortable with, if its us great if not thats okay too.

Everyone that is blaming Ireland and Ross before anything went down, better, or they will look like HUGE hypocrites.

I won't blame him. However, if you don't blame him, how could you blame Ross and Ireland if they were the ones meeting with him? Can't have it both ways.

Philbin: Strike one

Ross & Ireland: Strike three and yer out!
