Will You Trust Saban's QB Choice?

The last two QB competitions have ended with controversial results. A lot of fans thought Damon Huard should have gotten the nod over Jay Fiedler. Then last year, Wannstedt split the camp snaps between Feeley and Fiedler, essentially robbing Feeley of a chance to learn the offense and also leaving Fiedler unprepared.

So my question is this, will you trust Saban's decision when he names a starter at QB? I personally would like to see Feeley as our starter, but if Saban picks Frerotte, I will support him without any skepticism. That's the biggest difference in having Saban this year, and from suffering under Wannstedt the last few years. I believe Saban's decision will absolutely be what is best for the team at this moment. With Wannstedt, I was never sure if he really thought Fiedler was the best choice, or if he was playing it safe and trying to keep his job.

Whoever he picks will get my support. I support any Dolphin that takes the field. That will not change. I trust Saban's judgement.

Ill trust him, but heres what i think he'll do... If the competition is close like it has been so far, i think aj will get the nod since he has more to gain than gus. i mean aj could be our future, but gus is more of a short term fix. so i think gus will have to really show hes better than aj for him to start so that would make me think he deserves the starting job. so either way ill be happy with sabans choice.

I'll back whoever he chooses, I like Feeley, but if it's Gus, it's Gus..go phins.

Dave Wannstedt gave us plenty of reason to doubt his choices, at this point Nick Saban has given me no reason to doubt him so I'm good with what ever decides.

I'm also of the mind that A.J. should be the starter, but I'll go with Ferotte if Saban feels he will be the one that gives us the best chance to win.

I'm beginning to understand you now. I concur.

I suspect what you guys are calling Saban's choice is really Linehan's choice. I'm not sure I would give much deference to Saban's judgment on a QB matter without Linehan, but I feel very comfortable with it because Linehan will at least be such a factor in it. The strength of Linehan's experience is at QB.

We dont have a choice..but he (Saban) does..I wont throw in the towel just because MY guy doesnt start, got to let Saban do his job then he can be judged for it..

Except Saban isn't making the choice. Linehan is. Saban has given free control of the offense to Linehan is going to be the major guy in that choice. Hence why you don't see Saban working with the offense at all. Linehan runs the offense with little interferance from Saban and that's why Houck also has a bit of an assistants role with the offense.

I am pulling for Feeley for numerous reasons which i wont go into, however lets save this thread and see how many of us still feel that way if either qb that gets chosen stinks it up in our first game?
