Would you trade Ricky Williams for David Carr? Houston's Gm stated in Saturdays paper that houston had not decided who they would take with the first pick contrary to ESPN reports. With it looking like Vince Young will enter the draft will the team be pressured by public support to pick Young? Williams would be teamed with Davis to solidify the running back situation. Williams, Young and lets throw in Kubiak as head coach would be local boys to sell tickets. And lets face it, there's not a lot of QB options out there.

no because i dont understand why you would trade away one of the dynamic duo.what if one goes down then we have no one

dont think it will happen, for one they will probably draft bush and if they dont they have dominic davis who is a very good back

Williams straight up for Carr...hell yeah I`d make that move. Never happen though, you don`t trade QBs for RBs.

Of course I would trade Williams for Carr straight up. Anyone who wouldn't has an unrational love for Ricky or an unrational hate for Carr. We would be Superbowl contenders next year if we could make that trade and keep all our draft picks.

No way. Look at the big picture....

Carr isn't much of an upgrade over Frerotte at this stage. They are both capable QB's but neither are anything special...

Now, look at the difference between having Ricky & Ronnie vs just having Ronnie alone. It's a huge dropoff in overall offensive production. You keep both RB's, and stick with Frerotte....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Texans are not getting rid of David Carr, otherwise they would have to pass on Reggie Bush to pick up another QB.

true, back to 2004, when our rushing game was pathetic.

Carr in 2005: 60.5% completion, 2488 yards, 14 TD's, 11 picks. 26 yr. old.

Gus in 2005: 52.0 % completion, 2996 yards, 18 TD's, 13 picks. 34 yr. old.

The numbers are fairly similar in all areas except comp. %, which is what I look for most in a QB as far as numbers go. Carr still has some upside, and he's young enough to call our future. Nothing against Gus, but if we could make a deal like that for Carr, with the weapons we have on offense, I'd take Carr all day.

I wouldn't if i was Saban. I'd draft a quarterback like Cutler, Leinart, Vick etc. and groom him into our future quarterback. We shouldn't give up the one thing we have going for us.

THEY WONT GIVE UP CARR.

their owner signed off on exercising the 8 million dollar bonus after receiving positive feedback from outsider and his consultant dan reeves.

my god poeple let it go.

Really, because I dont look too hard at completions percentage because of dropped passes and what not.. Carr, while being a better long term answer then Gus, prolly wont be moved though

I think that would be a fair trade. I think since the Texans are in a position to draft Leinart,Young or Cutler then they are in a position to make a trade such as this without blikning. Rickys talent is undeniable, when he runs you can see his passion for the game. He's not just going through the motion. He made a mistake and he paid the price for it. He's back and he can be a 2000 yrd back. If the Texans trade for Ricky they could still have a franchise QB and a stacked double threat in the backfield, also they could dump some 8 million dollars they owe Carr and Ricky's numbers are very cap friendly. It may not ever happen but their sure are a lot of good for both teams if it were to happen. One more thing, Ricky did run very well in Texas, wouldn't you all agree?? Also Ricky and Young would have a lot in common.

Thank you some sanity....I know there are going to be alot of changes this offseason but can we wait till after the superbowl for the outlandish trade thoughts that will never happen... :shakeno:

Every team in the bloody NFL has as many drops as Miami. Thats no excuse for a piss poor comp. %
