This according to Rotoworld according to Palm Beach Post. I hadn't heard a lot about how he was doing on the training camp reports.

According to the Palm Beach Post, seventh-round DB Jimmy Wilson has already "all but won" a roster spot this summer.

Known as a hard-hitter at the University of Montana, Wilson could make an impact on special teams this season if he indeed makes the team. If he eventually earns playing time on defense, the Dolphins have projected him as a safety after he played cornerback in college.

He is one kid you cannot help but root for - great news!

As long as we can cover a tight end and the corners/safties don't have lapses like last year then we should see be a top 5 unit.

I had a feeling about him when we drafted him. Montana is getting the reputation of really preparing players for the NFL. From Kroy Biermann, our own Lex Hillard, Marc Mariani, and now Wilson, they must be doing something right.

I got a feeling that Will Allen is not going to be able to play ... and perhaps get cut, Wilson could be a major factor this season, he does alot of things well, and like Nolan did with Smith last season he found him a role as the Safety in the nickel and dime defenses .. this could very well be the role Wilson is assigned ... Nolan will know how to use him!!!

interesting...i haven't heard as much about wilson the last few days it seems since we went to full pads...looking forward to seeing this kid friday night...or in my case setting the dvr for saturday at 1pm the nfln replay

He's made a few "flashes".. I think he's made another pick and rocked someone over the middle jarring the ball loose

I'm really excited for Wilson. He seems like the type of player that our defense has been begging for, for years. We need a ballhawk out there to create some turnovers and all I've heard from reports is about him getting his hands on passes.

And I do agree with someone above who said that he can take over Sean Smith's safety role from last year.

Hearing some good things about our draft picks aside from Kearse. If this success in practice can be replicated during the regular season, this could be a really solid draft, but we'll see how it goes.

everything ive heard has been great. heard the ball always finds him, and he is making big plays. he will probly start in the next few years. i think he will have and impact on special teams. he is a big hitter

Dan Carpenter as well. I know a kicker isnt quite the same as a runningback or safety, but its always nice to throw out another Dolphin
