How long will it before the coaching staff benches Gabril Wilson. This guy sucks and every week his play reflects that. We will never beat any good team the way these safeties are playing right now. We need to get a saftey that can cover instead of two guys that are always a step behind. Whats worse is both of them can't even tackle either this year.

Bell hasn't been great, but I don't think he has been terrible. At least when he gets beat he makes the tackle. Plus Bell has been good against the run for the most part this year. The problem is Bell needs a good Coverage FS so that he does not have to be relied on for coverage, but we have a terrible coverage FS so that just makes his weaknesses look far worse. I wouldn't be mad if we got a better SS, but I don't think that is as big a need as the ILB, FS, and WR.

Bell is really good outside of coverage. He needs a ballhawk back there. If he was with Ed Reed or Troy P, that would be the best combination in the history of the NFL.

As soon as we signed Wilson in FA, analysts were alreasy questioning the move b/c Wilson was thought to be more suited to SS than FS and they new we already had Y. Bell at the SS spot.

Frankly, I didn't think we should've resigned Bell either with his injury history and age. Hell, if we were willing to go older with safetys, then why not Darren Sharper who has been scoring almost weekly for the Saints or even Brian Dawkins who has helped top trun around the Broncose defense.

Gibril Wilson was already coming off a bad year in OAK and Bell has been plagued with injuries his whole career and they're both friggin STRONG SAFETIES!!! This tandem had trouble written all over it.

At this point, I'd really rather see Jason Allen and Tyrone Culver back there.

Colston sure burned Gibril Wilson and Nathan Jones yesterday. That was a MISMATCH. I don't feel good about those guys covering our opponents best receiver going deep at all.

Neither one of them can guard, and Wilson can't tackle. Bell can at least tackle and does a decent job with run support and blitzing. Wilson is a joke. It just shows you how bad our ILB's are because the safeties have tons of tackles. I didn't hear Adoleye's name yesterday, and Crowder, despite doing a couple of good things in the 1st half, was invisible in the 2nd half, with the exception of the time he got absolutely TRUCKED by Mike Bell. How embarassing.

Gibril Wilson will be one of the players that will epitomize the 2009 season... the guy can't tackle ... lucky for Miami, the 2010 season is uncapped and teams can cut ANYONE without taking a CAP HIT!!! and when the season is over i'd be SHOCKED if he ISN'T cut ... they paid Wilson the same amount that Hill got from Denver... are you kidding me!!! Hill can at least cover and tackle!!! enough said ..

We really blew it on some of our defensive FA signings:

Mike Peterson (JAX FA who was signed by ATL) >>>> Crowder
Darren Sharper & Brian Dawkins >>>>>>>>>> Wilson and Bell

We also should've NEVER gone into 2009 with Ted Ginn is our supposed "#1" WR and if our receiving core was going to be this weak, then we should've looked at adding a real weapon for the TE position. Instead, knowing that even David Martin might not be back, we just went ahead with Fasano/Haynos/Nalbone. Sorry, but that's just not enough weapons for any offense.

LOVE our OL (including the Jake Grove signing) and love Sean Smith but almost every move was below average to disasterous.

I think we're also going to regret taking Vontae Davis over Hakeem Nicks and/or Rey Maualuga.

With Will Allen out now for the year, I fear Vontae is going to get lit up weekly.

....But then again, Vontae's brother Vernon Davis is leading the NFL in receiving TDs right now so this pick could pay off in time and CBs are hard to draft so I should reserve judgment here.

But Ginn, Crowder, Wilson and Bell were all bad moves to have either signed/resigned or simply have counted on (in the case of Ginn).

One sure way to beat the Dolphins is to pick on our safeties! That's a glaring weakness. I'm sure the Jets are going to go after them just like the Saints did. Just throw the ball to the tight end over the middle and attack our safeties like Gibril Wilson and Nathan Jones going deep.

Our D-coordinator Pasqualoni needs to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! Things are NOT getting corrected with our DBs! I'm getting concerned that even Sanchez could pick us apart next Sunday.

I know we lost and wilson and bell made some bad plays but did we just forget about all the good plays.......didn't wilson have like 2 key PD's and didn't he get that run stop on the GL to make it a 6 point game and gave us one more shot.......also didn't bell have like 1-2 sacks and some big stops......I blame the coaching before them......our game plan had them hot in the 1st half and if our D coordinator needs to work around our weak spots.....we did in the 1st half so why not the 2nd? why did our game plan look so poor in the 2nd.....compared to the 1st

Yeah, Bell has been serviceable.

Wilson's position needs the most dramatic improvement. That cat even got punked by Reggie Bush!

bush is better than people think, he should have made the tackle but that cat can ball......not a number one but very athletic.......only sheldon brown can punk bush LOLOL

I expected Bush to Barry Sanders our dude, not to Jerome Bettis him.

It seems like Wilson's awfulness is somehow tainting Bell. Yeremiah hasn't been the useless turd that wilson has been. Nothing close to that. He's been struggling in coverage but at least he can make a damn tackle and has made some plays.
