I hate the Win Now Philosophy that the NFL has. That's the mentality that put us in the situation we are currently in. I want a SB win as much as the rest of you guys, but I don't see it this year or next. I will have patience with the Saban regime and be satisfied if we show improvement from week to week. I don't expect any miracles this year or next. What I do expect is for Saban to build a team that has a solid structure from the ground up. He's not the kind of guy to mortgage the future of the team for a half-assed attempt at a championship.

i dont expect a SB but a nice push towards the playoffs, maybe a wildcard, would be nice. I want to see my team have effort. I know if i were playing for them I might show the talent some of those guys have but I would have the effort and that is the "it" i need to see this year to be a happy fan.

I agree. The talent is not all there yet but I think the effort and compasion is back for this team.

I agree on the effort part. Even if they lose I want them to play a full 4 quarters without giving up. As long as we're moving forward all is well. No more sliding backwards.

The Bengals have gone 8-8 in the past two seasons, and I think they're a great team. They'll go to the playoffs for sure this year, but it took them some time to get there. It's ridiculous to expect a super bowl every year, but with another strong draft and good coaching I can see us making the playoffs as early as next season.

I've learned under Shula to expect the playoffs every year. Thanks for the reality check Wanny, you taught us what it's like to be a Saint's fan!

Playoffs next year? Good chance of that happening. Championship next year? Too soon to tell, let's see who's throwing the ball.

While what your saying holds creedo with me, the NFL is a now league...with FA the way it is and the lack of loyalty by both players and teams, EVERY team will want to "win now"...that is a fact of life for us, and for every other team..

I dont see Saban building Miami into a superbowl team. Like Bilichek did to Cleveland I see him using Miami as an experimental team, kinda introducing himself to the NFL...then later building a dynasty with another team.

Why would a coach work his @ss off to just change teams and start over?
Explain to me the logic behind that!

Yea, I don't see why any Coach would EVER not want to succeed where he's currently at. It doesn't even make sense!

I think this was just a general statement with no merit behind it, just to get us going!

Consider this, Im sure Bilichek work his *** off in cleveland im also sure Saban did too, but as we know things didnt work out there. Both moved on to become really successful head coaches....
