This game is exactly the kind of thing we wanted. An emotional letdown for one our hated rivals. OT was the best possible outcome. I wish it went to double or tripple but hey , I'll take it.

OK let's FFWD to next week. Assuming the Phis pervail on Sun., a depleted and somewhat demoralized Pats team heads to S. FL knowing if they lose, they can all but forget the playoffs. Motivation, yes but this isn't the Pats of 2007. IMHO, this OT loss to they Yets was a backbreaker. Yes they came back and forced OT but they LOST AT HOME !

On the flip side, the Yets lost a HUGE lead by plying the "prevent you from winning" D on the final NE dive. How demoralizing is that ? We'll see soon enough.

They are serving up the division, all the Phins need to do it be ready with the silverware !

i dont think it was demoralizing so much for the jets because as much as they blew a big lead and then wat happened in the last second of regulation, im sure they wouldve taken a win on the road against a team they simply cant beat and now they have soul possesion of first. and also now next week in tenn its not a must win for them really.

The Patriots is going to be a tough game. As will the Raiders game.

Also keep one thing in mind. The pats now have 3 extra days to prepare for miami. That WILL come into play.

The pats are well coached and are a good team, this loss will be forgotten about by tomorrow night, and every player on that roster will be determined to beat us by mid week next week. Regardless of what we do against the raiders.

I think you are just fishing for a positive spin that really doesnt exist!!

And you know the Patsies havent or wont forget all the smack talk that Joey Porter had going into the last time we played. He really clowned Cassel. You really think the Pats have forgotten that **** Porter said????

Meantime, that dude has gotten way better and gained confidence. Throw in the 3 extra days to prepare, the fact we kicked their *** up there, the fact that it is basically a MUST WIN for the Patriots, to go with that bulliten board stuff, and we are in for a helluva battle.

We better bring our A game or we will get our *** kicked.

We can't worry about our game with the Pats yet, we still have a big game vs Oakland this Sunday. No matter how bad of a season they're having, we still have to go out and perform well to win. I mean weren't the Jets supposed to beat them a few weeks back. You just never know.

Both Jets and Patriots have talent filled rosters. It's gonna take a lot of mistake free, aggressive football to win the East. We'll need everything we got and then some.

All true ! But IF the Phins keep bringing it , I can't help but think this game (and more signicfantly the way it played out) is a positive for the Phins.

There is no double or triple overtime in the regular season. If the first 15 minute overtime doesn't settle it, then it ends in a tie.
