With all these cuts, something that keeps coming to mind for me is this, Coach Flores has spent years fully immersed in a winning culture, where as Miami has had anything but that for far too long.

Perhaps some of these surprise cuts and moves have to do with his perception of a players drive and desire to win. These guys are paid millions of dollars to play a sport that most of them love. Complacency can creep in quickly and that drive to be the best can be gone or minimized. I think the coach knows what that looks like and is looking for it.

Look at Tom Brady, a player i really don't like. But rarely has there been a more motivated winner in all of sport.

The good news, i think Brian Flores has this winning spirit in spades. Gase didn't, Philbin didn't, etc. The closest one who did for us in recent past was Sporano. Look at Belichek, Saban, Tomlin, Carroll... they all have that drive to be the best and want players who do also.

Flores isnt stupid.

He knows this team goes nowhere without a qb, he's lived it for his entire NFL tenure.

You do what it takes to get one.

True, but im not referring so much to Tunsil... i love the stock pile of picks and cash to move forward. Just the entire purge, even of a young player like Taylor, or someone like Denney.

I think the coach knows exactly what he wants and won't stop short of it.

Brian Flores gets my support because I've seen the last 10 plus years and change is needed.

Nobody knows how the future will turn out. But we do know the past 2 decades have been failures for us. This is a different approach for us. No big money contracts in FA. Resigned our best corner. Sent our best o-lineman away for a massive haul. Cutting guys for various reasons. Maybe this succeeds in the future, maybe not. But its different than the apply, fail, rinse, repeat hamster wheel of the past 20 years.

In order to make a good meal you need a good recipe and then you need to do the prep work before you actually start to cook.
Flores is laying the foundation this year. Nobody is above the team. Nobody will just be given a job. Many of us(including me) would like for Rosen to start but Flores will make him work for it. Is Rosen going to work harder or just be mad and do nothing. He wants Rosen to be a leader and once he proves he can be then Flores will start him.

Everyone will earn their job on this team from now on.

I love how they paid the game changer. Obviously not knowing specifics, a guy like Howard with his cast(very decent-good players) is more rewarding for the future than Tunsil. The lonewolf.

Appreciate everything you did for us, and always showing up. Good luck in Houston. I honestly hope he and Kenny make a run. As long as the Dolphins get a top 2 pick(AND TAKE A F'N QB).
