Former Wisconsin linebacker Jaevery McFadden will be giving his thoughts as he prepares for the NFL draft. If you have a question for McFadden, please send me an e-mail by clicking on my name in the byline (please include your name/nickname and place of residence). In this installment, McFadden talks about his contact with a couple of NFL teams.

I did very good at the Dolphins workout. I was surprised by how many guys I recognized that were there. It was basically a lot of friends I played against or played with in high school in South Florida all around D1 college football that was at the camp.
I’d guess there were 30 players. As far as linebackers, there were about like six of us. There was really like two true linebackers, me and the linebacker from Miami, Darryl Sharpton. There was some defensive ends that could play in the 3-4, and some big names, like the guy from South Florida who does the backflips, Jason Pierre-Paul.
Everybody that you could think of that was a big-time recruit or player in the state of Florida that did good in college was there at the Miami-Dade camp. So it was a pretty good experience.
After my drills I talked to Bill Parcells, the Tuna. I didn’t call him Tuna, I definitely called him Mr. Parcells. He’s a real down-to-earth guy. I think the media portrays him to be a tough guy, which I think he is, but I think he’s tough in a good way. I think he gets a lot out of his players and he has the Super Bowl rings to prove it. I also talked to the general manager and linebackers coach.
I think I was the most athletic guy in the workout. I caught all the balls that were thrown to me and I think I did good in my pass routes. I think they liked what they saw. I definitely got good feedback from it.
