We have seen a lot of names in here tossed around as trade targets and free agent aquisitions. Just thought I would update the latest out there from several different sources:

BOLDIN - Has changed his tune about leaving the Cardinals and will entertain a fair contract extension. The Cardinals need to decide to move him, wait until his contract expires or trade him now as his value is probably at it's highest.

ASOMUGNA - Signed a 3 year deal with the Raiders for a reported 45 mil.

PEPPERS - Tagged.

HAYNESWORTH - Keep an eye on the Lions. If he is worth the money, he'll most likely be offered and taken by them. They desperately need to establish an identity and build a horrible defense. Schwartz will start here. If he or the Titans don't, one would have to wonder why.

ATOGWE - Tagged.

Of the other names mentioned in FinHeaven, it looks like Brown is the only real possibility.

I am surprised that Birk and Saturday have not received much attention in here. The focus seems to be clearly on Brown. Wonder what the FO is thinking.

Birk could happen. Saturday is too small. He's smaller than Satele, I believe.

Brown seems like the major target, with Scott a possible replacement for Crowder. Getting two of the best free agents left though? Gonna be tough...

Birk has already said he doesnt want to play in miami and miami has already said they dont want birk

Add Robinson to the list..

Thank god this list is dwindling, so we can start talking about REALISTIC signings and aquisitions for players we dont have to grossly overpay for

I also forgot about Scott. That would be a nice addition but if only being able to get 1, I would hope for Brown.

Teams don't let very good to great players go. It's that simple. Every year people hope for some pie in the sky scenarios for the phins. This year everybody wants the Oakland DB, or Haynesworth, or Boldin, or Suggs, or Peppers, or ridiculously enough, some combo of those players.

We aren't going to get a superstar via FA. Accept it. We have to build our great players through the draft, and so for the triad is well on the way.

He would be a nice addition, although Kirwin on Sirius said Parcells thought he might be more of a system player and that would hurt our chances of signing him... I like Leonard, the raven safety.

yea you could add dansby to that list also there are a few players left that i see us looking at but thats usually how FA works though

Once free agent players are gone, everyone start getting panicky, but everyone seems to forget good teams are built through the draft and not Free Agency....I guess it cant be said too many times

You can say it around here till your blue in the face, it still won't register with some. Anyways, besides the folks who created those "wishlists." Is anybody really surprised that a lot of these FA's got tagged or re-upped by their current organization? This happens every year, good teams don't just let their best players walk out the door.

My hunch is that the two prime targets are Jason Brown from Baltimore and Chris Canty from the Cowboys.
