Wish Me Luck- Ivan is Coming

This Bastard is Camille II....If I were you I would get the "F" out of dodge....I am serious...don't wait this one out unless you have a concrete reinforced bunker.

I work in the STRUCTURAL engineering field BTW...I know what I am talking about.
 
Well Tropical Depresion # 11 just formed.
hopefully it dosent become a hurricane cause we are in its path by Sunday.

I live in central alabama and have been watching this beast since it was a little baby off the coast of africa. This is one mean sucker. The models now say its going to run right up into mobile bay as a CAT 4. This will be worse than fredrick in '79 if that is true. If you live on the gulf coast.. get out of there now....

This storm is so strong that it is effecting weather 1k's of miles away from it. Some say that it is like a little black hole.. devouring the all the weather around it preventing other systems from weakening it.

Do not play with this guy... he will beat the living crap out of whatever he hits.
 
As most of you know, I have been tracking this one big time. Good news is, it is starting to shear on the left side of the storm. The dark coloring in the latest sat pics is showing this.This means it is losing strength. I am guessing it will be a cat. 4 by morning, and we should all hope to see it drop to a cat 3 by Weds. night.

Still a major hurricane, but any drop in power is a good thing.

It is looking like it will indeed hit Alabama, and maybe even as far west as Louisiana.

You folks in Saints country keep a serious eye out!

Anyone who thinks they can "ride it out" is either insane or ignorant. A storm of this magnitude will live nothing in its wake, and i plead that anyone in its path would find a safe place. Charley 100 miles inland was scary enough, but a cat. 5 would be a catastrophe.

It just amazes me the stupidity of some people and what they will "claim" to know simply to get attention. Whatever helps you feel important. More power to you.

As for you LtDan, Good luck and make sure to check actual sources for your storm updates. This storm isn't one to mess around with. It's not going to be a pretty sight wherever it hits, that is of course, if nothing comes in to weaken the storm which is always possible. Thankfully, wind shearing weakened Francis greatly before it hit us here in S. FL. That is the only thing that saved our rears.
 
Just for the record, I am giving you guys direct information from the Hurrican Center. Of course anyone in the projected target area of Ivan should be checking the NOAA site for themselves on a regular basis.

Newest projections have Ivan going as far west as Texas now. Maximum sustained winds are at 155 MPH, and expected to drop somewhat today.

Just talked to my Dad & the entire family is going to Arkansas. Do they have Hotels there these days? :lol:

My Dad said they were taking all the SUV's so they could load them down with things that money couldn't replace. I asked him to leave my High School portrait on the wall in the hallway :lol:

Any specific reason why you are constantly a condescending, insulting a$$hole? Don't like what I say, don't read my posts. In fact, make me a bit happier and go report better info for us directly from teh hurricane itself.

I would guess the specific reason would be that YOU brought his name up with the sole intention, according to you, of pissing him off "more".

If you can't take getting bit, don't stick your hand in his cage.
 
Man, I live in Poinciana and Charlie came right thru here and Frances said hello too...We don't need a 3rd one. This is a monster storm so get out of there dude cos is gonna hit hard. Good luck to everyone on this one.

no, actually I included that because I knew he would have a comment to make about my opinion and info on the storm...and just as I expected he did.
