If we were to hire Schiotz as our strength and conditioning coach, it could happen. He kept Ladainian Tomlinson at 220 pounds.

Ronnie Brown has bulked up a lot more from his rookie year, he still weighed the same but you can obviously see he was a lot more lean. Weighed in at 230 pounds, but his speed was reduced a bit because of it.

I watched a video of him at his best in Auburn, and the guy looked as if he were in his 220's, running with power and speed. Check it out:

For those who enjoy having a clown show for a running back :shakeno:, look, he did a front flip a couple of times in the video, does that make you like Ronnie more now? You haters. :shakeno:

Why make him lose weight? His running style is perfectly suited to him putting a pad in someones chest, and I think Cam will run him more in that way than try to make him into another LT.

ronnie needs to tighten up and truly dedicate himself in the gym,he has'nt done that yet,you can teell he's carrying on some soft weight.

When i saw ronnie at the combine before i knew we were going to draft him,i was like holy**** that guy is superfast and explosive,,i don't know but i personally don't feel he kept his fitness up after that point.

I think all the ronnie haters need to watch this, and dont say because its college he had a damn 1000 yard season after missing 2 games and having limited carries on top of that. If I remember right he did rush for 150 yards against that number one defense whos in the superbowl right now could it be chicago OHH YEAHH thats them.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. RB is very similiar to LT the main thing seperating them is speed. If Ronnie dropped some weight and got his speed up we could use him to create mismatches downfield. I think RB will have a great year next year, Cameron obviously knows how to get the most out of his runningbacks.

We can also bring up when he ran for 0 yards in 1 game and did nothing against the worst teams in the NFL.Im not sure why you call people haters because they dont jump up when he has a 10 yard run..Anyways i think he will have his best season in 2007 with the help of our new coach and ricky in the back.

The only thing similiar to LT is they both wear helmets when the play, nothing else .I sure hope you joking when you wrote that. :shakeno:

Last I checked I guess it wasn't forbidden to compare players. Just because ronnie is not on the same level as LT at all doesn't mean there cannot be comparisons. I think LT is the best back in the game atm and no other will match him but I am not going to put LT on some forbidden pedestal where no man can be compared to him

I think cameron is very excited to be working with another great running back like Ronnie. I think cameron will use ronnie the way we've been hoping ronnie would be used since we drafted him. Cameron wont need ronnie to change anything about him though, because cameron actually knows how to play to players strengths.

Not joking at all, they are both good backs, with great pass catching ability. The main thing seperating them is LT's speed and quickness. If Ronnie shed some pounds trims up he could be used in much the same way LT has been used. Obviously LT is a better back than Ronnie but that doesn't mean they are not similiar in their abilities and the ways they can be used to create mismatches on the field.

I have to disagree. I think Ronnie's dedication to the weight room was well documented during this last offseason. He added about 5 pounds of muscle while getting leaner. He looked to me to be the same explosive player he was coming out of college. I think we will see more explosive plays from Ronnie once he gets more comfortable in picking the correct holes and more patient in setting up his blocks. When you look at LT, he is a master at setting up blocks.

Exactly. Ronnie's limitations are not physical, he just needs to learn the ins and outs of the offensive system. It also doesn't help the the offensive system seems to change in Miami every year.
Everyone needs to keep in mind that he is only a second year player, and that he will naturally run with more confidence as he gains NFL experience.
I will admit that it would be interesting to see him run at a slightly smaller weight, but not at the expense of his physical running style.

Is you crazy? Ronnie isn't on or anywhere close to LT's level. The only thing they have in common is they both wear pads and play professional football. LT is a great pass catcher, better than alot of WR's. Ronnie is decent at best. LT is shiftier and displays twenty times better vision, decisiveness, and field awareness......not to mention the ability to completely take over games.

Hundreds upon hundreds of players in the NFL have similar physical attributes so pointing out people sharing any of those types of characteristics is a moot point.

Put the kool-aid down for a moment please.

Ronnie could stand to drop about 10 pounds and harden up a bit. He's a big guy, but he does have a little bit of extra padding. If he dropped ten and hit the weights, he be evan more imposing, faster, just as strong, and he'd take stress off his knees and ankles.

He'd have to lose muscle at this point - the guy is a beast.
