With all due respect to your friend, and Chad Johnson, we need way to many holes plugged to worry about a WR yet. We need a better o-line, a great NT (if we are to run a 3-4 defense), DB's, 2 ILB's, and a great TE plus 2 years to jell and then we can look at the Randy Moss/Chad Johnson's of this league. At that time we will be ready to handle that type player aka the Pats way. To do it now is just a waste of time.

i agree. there are bigger priorities than getting a 30 yr old receiver.

I don't know if you realize it, GA Fin Fan, but we have a gaping hole at the wideout position as well.

Marty Booker's old and going to be cut, Derek Hagan has hands of stone, Ted Ginn is extremely unpolished at nearly all facets of the receiver position (which is why I love the Karl Dorrell hire), and Greg Camarillo was a one-game wonder.

Receiver is a BIG need.

Marty Booker is 32 I think and Chad Johnson is 30. The difference between MarBook and 85 is that 85 is lightyears away in terms of talent and ability. Using an excuse that he's 30 not to pick him up is a giant crock...Randy Moss is 29 going on 30, you think that stopped Billy Belichick?

But you're forgetting one very important thing, BB has a COMPLETE, championship caliber team already. He just needed a couple of accessories to finish making them damn near perfect. We have holes all over the place! We don't even have one piece of the O or D that doesn't need major work! Let's get our O-line and front 7 on D and QB set before we try to upgrade the so called "skill" positions. You gotta be able to walk before you can learn to run!

Well, if the opportunity is there, why not jump on it?

I understand there are big needs all over, but alot of people don't realize that the receiver position is a big one too.

We need a veteran WR on the team that can be a factor on the field and teach Ted Ginn and Derek Hagan a few of his tricks on how to get open, what to do and what not to do, etc., etc. Listen, all of the FA pick ups we make aren't going to be 26 years old and established in the league. Chad Johnson would be an enormous pick up for us. For those of you that think that he's mouthy and he's all about himself, keep in mind that IF he is selfish and is a disruption in the locker room, we have the guys to put him in his place and keep things calm. You think JT is going to let Chad Johnson take over this team? You think JP is going to sit around and not say anything? Oh yea, and we might be getting an OC that helped to develop Chad into the receiver he is.

Wait... one more thing.... Bill Parcells, anyone? I think Chad knows that if he comes to Miami and plays for Parcells, he better be here to play some football and win a few games.

Look, put all the 'what ifs' aside and think about the positive impact that Chad could have on this team. He's a veteran who's been around a while, but not too long. He can still perform at a high level (1400+ yards last year). He can teach our young WR corps a few tricks to help get an advantage on the field. Why wouldn't you want to give up your 2nd rounder (from the Chargers) to get him. Hey, we could even give them our 3rd, considering the fact that it's going to be #64 this year (Spygate). I'm all for Chad Johnson coming to Miami. I think Ginn and Hagan can learn and benefit a lot from this guy.

Doesn't anyone remember the locker room fight that took place between Chad Johnson and Hue Jackson.

Would you really want these two together in Miami.

The article is a sham.

Keep both these idiots away from the Dolphins please!

Here's the problem with posting stuff that you read on the internet without taking time to do your research. That "fight" between Johnson and Jackson was a rumor that was quickly shot down by the coach and the people involved, and it resulted in the release of a Bengals source who made the original claim.

Johnson and Jackson did have an argument (as most players and coaches do at some point) but there were no punches thrown. Moreover, most insiders would agree that Jackson helped develop Johnson into the All Pro that he is today.

But if you want to, go ahead and keep basing your opinions on internet rumors.

Local radio here where I live said otherwise. They actually had interviews with players who were there who confirmed it happened.

Sorry bro PFT was right this time!

Chad Johnson Needs to be wearing aqua, teal and white (his words not mine) next year, no doubt about it. Please make it happen, by any means neccesary.

So let's see. Local radio disc jockies, PFT, and uncomfirmed player interviews that are not cited anywhere on the internet? And the coaches and players involved deny it?

Oh yea, it must be true.

Let me know when you find confirmation from a legitimate source, and then we can talk. Until then, you'll simply be that guy that propagates internet rumors.

Again, what was confirmed is that Johnson and Jackson had an argument, which is a normal NFL occurrence. The "fight" that you're referring to is little more than a figment of someone's imagination at this point.

My colleague J.D. Robinson put together an interesting piece on the Dolphins efforts to lure in Falcons OC Hue Jackson and how that relates to landing Bengals wideout Chad Johnson:

Do you all agree that Jackson and Johnson should be a package deal?

Parcells doesn't like guys that harbor more attention than he does...That tells me that CJ is not going to end up here. CJ will attempt to make more noises than the Tuna. However, things might be different this time around for the Tuna since he's not the coach (seriously....).

Since Cincy is still adamant about keeping him, at least publicly. I don't think that any courting of Jackson will change what happens with CJ with respect to the Fins...

Eh, I wouldn't put too much stock on Dorrell's capabilities. He's a solid guy but he's no miracle worker. CJ could get more TD's than our entire WR corps and that's saying something.

I hear ya to a certain extent, but then again, he was willing to bring in an attention monger like Keyshawn Johnson, so the precedent has been set.

In any case, I'm not sure that trading away picks is in the Parcells plan anyhow.
